Blue Angels wow group at Richmond waterfront

A group gathered in Richmond Saturday afternoon to watch the air show, part of San Francisco's Fleet Week celebration.

As the San Francisco Bay Ferry, fully loaded with passengers eager to see the Fleet Week air show, passed back and forth before those gathering along Richmond's waterfront, the small Richmond crowd must have secretly known they had scouted out the best location for the show. With cool breezes coming off the water, unobstructed views, and lack of elbow-to-elbow crowding, those pulling up a seat in Richmond enjoyed an amazing late summer afternoon with the magnificent Blue Angels and others, including the ever-popular Fat Albert and Boeing 777 planes putting on a great show.
