A Richmond couple is recovering after being shot while sitting in their vehicle on Wilson Avenue on July 15, according to police and a fundraiser set up to help with their medical costs.
The victims, Sebatian Guzman and his wife, were inside their vehicle at the time of the shooting, according to the fundraiser. Guzman was shot in the knee, and his wife was shot seven times, the fundraiser states.

Lieutenant Joe England, the Richmond Police Department's public information officer, said the victims were in stable condition and that there were no active threats to the community.
"Our detectives are still actively investigating this incident," England said.
The shooting was reported just after 8 p.m. in the 400 block of Wilson Avenue. Numerous police vehicles, including units from the El Cerrito Police Department, responded to the scene, where the street was taped off. Police also examined a white pickup truck near the scene that appeared to have bullet holes in its windshield and front end.
A man at the scene, who was not a law enforcement officer, told Grandview Independent he heard five gunshots, followed by a second series of about five more shots.

A GoFundMe campaign organized by Jennifer Lowe has raised more than $8,300 of a $9,000 goal as of Wednesday morning, with 55 donations.
In the fundraiser description, Lowe writes that the family is "facing an incredibly difficult road ahead" as they cover medical expenses and lost income during Guzman's recovery. Organizers say Guzman, the family's sole provider, is expected to be unable to walk or work for several months.
Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has information is asked to call the Richmond Police Department at (510) 233-1214.
