According to incident data released by the Richmond Police Department, Richmond logged three robberies, 18 vehicle thefts, and multiple reported incidents between June 1 and June 7. The week was marked by a string of commercial burglaries, a teargas arrest, a felon taken into custody with a loaded gun, and a gunshot fired on a residential street before sunrise on Sunday.

Monday, June 1

Car theft: 2100 block of Costa Avenue. A thief was at it before the sun came up, taking a car at 5:30 a.m.  

Vehicle burglary: 4100 block of Klose Way. A parked car was broken into at 10 a.m.

Vandalism: 6000 block of Giant Road. Police arrested a suspect after property was damaged at 11:12 a.m.

Vehicle burglary: 300 block of S. 28th Street. A car was broken into at noon.

Sex crime: Undisclosed location in 94805. Police arrested a suspect at 12:10 p.m.

Vehicle tampering: 4100 block of Klose Way. Someone was found working over a parked vehicle at 12:42 p.m. This is the same block as the morning’s car burglary.

Vehicle tampering: 300 block of S. 28th Street. Another vehicle tampering, same block as the noon burglary, at 12:51 p.m.

Drug paraphernalia: Harbour Way & Chanslor Avenue. The trappings of a habit turned up at 1:01 p.m.

Vandalism: 400 block of 8th Street. Property was damaged at 2:17 p.m.

Battery: 100 block of 22nd Street. A person was attacked at 3:48 p.m.

Trespassing: 2400 block of Aberdeen Way. Someone was found where they had no right to be at 4:05 p.m.

Obstruction: 11900 block of San Pablo Avenue. Police arrested a suspect who made themselves difficult with officers at 5:46 p.m.

Car theft: 200 block of S. 3rd Street. A thief took someone’s ride as evening came on at 7:45 p.m.

Car theft: 3600 block of Sierra Ridge Road. Another car gone at 9 p.m

Tuesday, June 2

Commercial burglary: 1900 block of Meeker Avenue. Someone broke into a business just after midnight. It would not be the last time this block was hit this week.

Commercial burglary: 12800 block of San Pablo Avenue. Another San Pablo Avenue business was broken into at 2:21 a.m.

Commercial burglary: 4000 block of Macdonald Avenue. A third business was broken into before dawn, at 4:48 a.m.

Car theft: Undisclosed location in 94801. A car was taken at 5:28 a.m.

Car theft: 200 block of S. 12th Street. Another car gone at 6:47 a.m. 

Grand theft: 900 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. A significant theft was reported at 8:21 a.m.

Commercial burglary: 400 block of Harbour Way. A fourth commercial burglary of the day, at 8:34 a.m.

Drug possession: 500 block of 4th Street. Police arrested a suspect found with a controlled substance at 9:13 a.m.

Vehicle burglary: 900 block of 7th Street. A parked car was broken into at 9:15 a.m.

Hit-and-run: 4100 block of Klose Way. A driver hit a vehicle and kept going at 9:18 a.m.

Identity fraud: 1500 block of Carlson Boulevard. A fraud was reported at 12:05 p.m.  

Car theft: 4000 block of Coleman Circle. A car was taken at 3:30 p.m.  

Unlawful use of tear gas: 1000 block of 23rd Street. Police arrested a suspect found with tear gas at 4:45 p.m.

Car theft: 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. A car was taken at 6 p.m.

Vehicle burglary: 100 block of 4th Street. A parked car was broken into at 6:51 p.m.

Car theft: 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. Another car from the same block, gone at 7 p.m. — two in an hour.

Vandalism: 4100 block of Jenkins Way. Property was damaged at 7 p.m.

Hit-and-run: 1700 block of San Benito Street. A driver struck a vehicle and drove away at 8:20 p.m.

Car theft: 700 block of Lassen Street. A thief took it at 8:21 p.m. as the evening wound down.

Drug possession: 500 block of Mclaughlin Street. Police arrested a suspect found with a controlled substance at 9:05 p.m.

Drug paraphernalia, drug possession: Undisclosed location in 94804. Police arrested a suspect found with drugs and the tools of the habit at 10 p.m.

DUI: Cutting Boulevard & Carlson Boulevard. Police arrested a driver stopped at 10:39 p.m. with too much in them to be driving.

Drunk, on drugs, and on the road: Undisclosed location in 94806. Police arrested a driver for driving under the influence at 10:44 p.m. 

Vehicle burglary: 1700 block of Rheem Avenue. A car was broken into at 11:30 p.m. to close out the night.

Wednesday, June 3

Vehicle tampering: Lakeshore Court. Someone was found working over a parked vehicle just after midnight at 12:35 a.m.

Vehicle burglary: 2700 block of Sheldon Court. A parked car was broken into at 1:24 a.m.

Court order violation: 5200 block of Gordon Avenue. Police arrested a suspect found to have violated a court order at 1:40 a.m.

Battery: 800 block of Johnson Drive. A person was attacked at 2:47 a.m.

Car theft: 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. A car was taken at 4:31 a.m. This was the third taken from this stretch in three days.

Commercial burglary: 1900 block of Meeker Avenue. Burglars were back on Meeker Avenue at 9:34 a.m.

Exhibiting a deadly weapon: Undisclosed location in 94805. A person was reported for brandishing a weapon at 9:48 a.m.

Theft of vehicle parts, vehicle tampering: 400 block of Spring Street. Parts were stripped off a parked vehicle at 11:03 a.m. 

Theft of vehicle parts: 200 block of Piedmont Place. Parts were taken from a parked vehicle at 11:04 a.m.

Commercial burglary: 1900 block of Meeker Avenue. Meeker Avenue was hit for the third time in four days at 11:21 a.m.

Drug paraphernalia: Undisclosed location in 94804. Drug paraphernalia was reported at 1:31 p.m.

Trespassing: 300 block of S. 50th Street. A person was found somewhere they had no business being at 3:29 p.m.

Vandalism, trespassing: 1500 block of Carlson Boulevard. Someone trespassed and damaged property at 3:41 p.m.

Car theft, possession of a stolen vehicle, hit-and-run: 1300 block of Fred Jackson Way. Police arrested a suspect found in a stolen car that had been involved in a hit-and-run at 4:38 p.m.

Felon in possession of a firearm, court order violation: 2900 block of McKenzie Drive. Police arrested a convicted felon found armed and in violation of a court order at 6 p.m.

Car theft, possession of stolen property: 500 block of 18th Street. A car was taken at 6:05 p.m., and the suspect was found with additional stolen property.

Court order violation: 12200 block of San Pablo Avenue. A court order was violated at 7:11 p.m.

Criminal threats, battery: 1500 block of Chanslor Avenue. Someone made threats and then backed them up by attacking a person at 8:38 p.m.

Hit-and-run, evading police, obstruction: I-580 W. & Buchanan Street. A driver hit a vehicle at 10:17 p.m., tried to run from officers on the freeway, and then made themselves as difficult as possible.

DUI: Undisclosed location in 94804. A driver was stopped at 11:03 p.m. in no condition to be on the road.

Thursday, June 4

Car theft, vehicle recovery: 2500 block of Gaynor Avenue. A car was taken at 2:51 a.m. and found recovered at the same address.

Criminal threats: 2800 block of Cutting Boulevard. Threats were made at 8 a.m., serious enough to bring the police.

Drug paraphernalia: 2500 block of Florida Avenue. Police arrested a suspect found with drug paraphernalia at 10:35 a.m.

Hit-and-run: 5000 block of El Portal Drive. A driver struck a vehicle and left at 10:35 a.m.

Possession of stolen property, illegal firearm possession: Undisclosed location in 94806. Police arrested a suspect found with stolen property and a gun they had no right to carry at 11:40 a.m.

Vandalism: Undisclosed location in 94804. Property was damaged at 2 p.m.

DUI: Undisclosed location in 94801. A driver was cited at 2:29 p.m.

Theft of vehicle parts: Schooner Court. Parts were stripped from a vehicle at 5 p.m.

Hit-and-run, DUI: Undisclosed location in 94804. Police arrested a driver at 5:34 p.m. who had hit another vehicle and was drunk.

Sex crime: 2300 block of Downer Avenue. A sex crime was reported at 5:36 p.m.

Court order violation, drug paraphernalia, drug possession: 900 block of Triangle Court. Police arrested a suspect found violating a court order and in possession of drugs and paraphernalia at 7:23 p.m.

Mail theft: 1100 block of Ells Street. Mail was stolen at 9:40 p.m.

Shoplifting: 2100 block of Meeker Avenue. A shoplifting was reported at 9:53 p.m.

Vehicle embezzlement, drug paraphernalia: Undisclosed location in 94801. Police arrested a suspect who had failed to return a rented vehicle and was found with drug paraphernalia at 11:10 p.m.

Friday, June 5

Sex crime: 2700 block of Maricopa Avenue. A sex crime was reported at midnight.

Car theft: 300 block of Summit Place. A thief took it at 2 a.m.

Car theft: 600 block of 5th Street. Another car was taken thirty minutes later at 2:30 a.m. on a different block.

Vehicle burglary: 3100 block of Center Avenue. A parked car was broken into at 2:30 a.m.

Assault with a deadly weapon, car theft: 1600 block of Garvin Avenue. A person was attacked with a weapon, and a car was stolen in the same incident at 3:19 a.m. 

Battery: 900 block of Nevin Avenue. A person was attacked at 5:35 a.m.

Assault with a deadly weapon: 600 block of Bradford Drive. Police arrested a suspect after a person was attacked with a deadly weapon at 7:39 a.m.

Petty theft: 600 block of 40th Street. A theft was reported at 7:58 a.m.

Domestic battery, false imprisonment: 2400 block of Lancaster Drive. Police arrested a suspect after a domestic dispute turned violent, and a person was held against their will at 9:41 a.m.

Assault with a deadly weapon, residential burglary: 1400 block of Esmond Avenue. Police arrested a suspect after a home was broken into and a person was attacked with a weapon at 11:53 a.m.

Vandalism: 3000 block of Richmond Parkway. Property was damaged at 12:17 p.m.

Arson, drug paraphernalia, drug possession: 400 block of Cutting Boulevard. Police arrested a suspect who deliberately set a fire and was found with drugs and paraphernalia at 12:19 p.m.

Domestic battery: 2000 block of Ohio Avenue. Police arrested someone after a domestic dispute turned physical at 2:28 p.m.

Residential burglary: 5200 block of Fresno Avenue. A home was broken into at 3:19 p.m. while the afternoon went on outside.

Theft of vehicle parts: 1000 block of Essex Avenue. Parts were taken from a parked vehicle at 4:43 p.m.

False imprisonment, battery: 3200 block of Auto Plaza. A person was attacked and held against their will at 4:59 p.m.

Vandalism: 12200 block of San Pablo Avenue. Property was damaged at 5:04 p.m.

Hit-and-run: 700 block of Wilson Avenue. A driver struck a vehicle and kept moving at 7:30 p.m.

Robbery: 900 block of Virginia Avenue. A person was robbed at 8:16 p.m.  

Solicitation: 14800 block of San Pablo Avenue. Police arrested a suspect near the Rodeway Inn at 9:51 p.m.

Domestic battery: 900 block of 8th Street. A domestic dispute turned physical at 11:05 p.m. 

Saturday, June 6

Vehicle recovery: 1300 block of Garvin Avenue. A stolen car turned up at midnight, recovered if not explained.

Illegal firearm possession: Undisclosed location in 94804. A person was found at 3:21 a.m. carrying a loaded handgun that they had no legal right to have.

First-degree robbery, robbery, battery: 600 block of S. 37th Street. Police arrested a suspect after a person was robbed and beaten at 8:27 a.m. 

Commercial burglary: 2500 block of Spinnaker Way. A business was broken into at 9:37 a.m.

Car theft: 3000 block of Center Avenue. A car was taken at 10:04 a.m. 

Theft of vehicle parts: 2nd Street. Parts were stripped from a vehicle at 12:31 p.m.

Theft of vehicle parts: 600 block of Sonoma Street. More parts were taken from a parked vehicle at 1 p.m.

Domestic battery: 600 block of 23rd Street. A domestic dispute turned violent at 1:35 p.m.

Residential burglary, vandalism: 1400 block of Esmond Avenue. The same block that saw Friday’s assault and burglary was hit again. This time, a home was broken into, and property was damaged at 2:20 p.m.

Theft of vehicle parts: 100 block of 6th Street. Parts were taken from a vehicle at 8 p.m.

Hit-and-run, DUI: 2900 block of Groom Drive. A drunk driver hit another vehicle at 8:31 p.m. and left.

DUI: Undisclosed location in 94806. Police arrested a driver who stopped at 9:30 p.m.

Reckless burning, drug paraphernalia: 3400 block of Macdonald Avenue. Police arrested a suspect who negligently started a fire and was found with drug paraphernalia at 10:21 p.m.

Criminal threats: 300 block of Washington Avenue. Threats were made at 10:30 p.m., serious enough to bring a police report.

Sunday, June 7

Theft of vehicle parts: 2600 block of Center Avenue. Parts were stripped from a vehicle just after midnight at 12:40 a.m.

Negligent firearm discharge: 600 block of S. 26th Street. A gun was fired carelessly at 6:02 a.m., the neighborhood quiet and suddenly less so.

Battery: 2200 block of Nevin Avenue. A person was attacked at 11:07 a.m.

Shoplifting: 2100 block of Meeker Avenue. A shoplifting was reported at 12:56 p.m.

Car theft: Undisclosed location in 94530. A car was taken at 2:29 p.m.

Robbery, exhibiting a deadly weapon: 11900 block of San Pablo Avenue. A person was robbed at 6:53 p.m. by someone who made sure they could see the weapon.

Felon in possession of a firearm, illegal firearm possession, probation violation: Undisclosed location in 94801. A convicted felon was found at 8:23 p.m. with multiple firearms, in violation of their probation.

Residential burglary: 2400 block of Aberdeen Way. A home was broken into at 8:54 p.m.

Arson: 1900 block of Virginia Avenue. A fire was deliberately set at 9:15 p.m. to end the week on an ugly note.
