According to incident data released by the Richmond Police Department, Richmond saw 16 vehicle thefts, five robberies, and dozens of reported crimes between May 18 and May 24 as officers responded to assaults, burglaries, DUIs, and vandalism cases across the city.

Monday, May 18

DUI: Undisclosed location in 94805. Someone drove with more in them than the law allows at 2:13 a.m. They were arrested.

Car theft: 2200 block of Nevin Avenue. A thief moved through the block at 3 a.m. and left with a car that wasn't theirs.

Vandalism: 2300 block of Macdonald Avenue. Someone was up before the sun at 5 a.m., doing damage.

Theft of vehicle parts: Undisclosed location in 94804. A thief was at work stripping parts off a vehicle at 6:20 a.m.

Petty theft: Undisclosed location in 94804. Small-time thieving at 8:57 a.m.

Vehicle tampering: Undisclosed location in 94801. Someone had their hands on a parked vehicle at 9:01 a.m.

Trespassing: 2000 block of Roosevelt Avenue. Someone was found somewhere they had no invitation to be at 9:21 a.m.

Trespassing: 1200 block of York Street. A person showed up on property that wasn't theirs at 9:39 a.m. and couldn't offer a good reason.

Grand theft: 2300 block of Lancaster Drive. Something of significant value went missing at 10:59 a.m.

Driving on a suspended license: Undisclosed location in 94804. A driver whose license was suspended was stopped at 11:20 a.m. Their willingness to drive was unaffected.

Identity fraud: 600 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. Someone spent the midday hours at 12:22 p.m. being someone they weren't.

Commercial burglary: 2700 block of Maricopa Avenue. Burglars broke into a business at 1:29 p.m.

Assault with a deadly weapon: 400 block of 22nd Street. A weapon was used on a person at 1:50 p.m. An arrest was made.

Car theft: Undisclosed location in 94801. Someone spotted someone's wheels and drove away at 4 p.m.

Petty theft: Undisclosed location in 94801. Someone helped themselves to property at 4:16 p.m. without being invited.

Robbery, domestic battery: 3700 block of Wall Avenue. A dispute at 4:53 p.m. didn't stay domestic, and it ended in a robbery.

Obstruction: 900 block of Nevin Avenue. Someone made an officer's job harder than it needed to be at 5:50 p.m.

Vandalism: 1300 block of Macdonald Avenue. Someone decided at 6:15 p.m. that what wasn't theirs was still worth destroying.

Car theft: Undisclosed location in 94801. The car was there until it wasn't at 7 p.m.

Car theft: 100 block of S. 6th Street. As the evening came on, a thief drove off with someone else's car at 7:17 p.m.

Vandalism: 700 block of Griffin Drive. Someone's evening contribution to the block was property damage at 7:55 p.m.

Vandalism: 800 block of 7th Street. The night was young enough at 10:15 p.m. for someone to go out and break things.

Tuesday, May 19

Assault with a deadly weapon, robbery: Undisclosed location in 94804. A person was robbed and attacked with a weapon at 12:20 a.m.

Felon in possession of a firearm, assault with a deadly weapon, domestic battery: 5100 block of Gately Avenue. A domestic dispute in the early hours led to an arrest. Officers found a convicted felon with a gun who had also used force likely to cause serious injury at 1 a.m.

Car theft: 1200 block of Chanslor Avenue. A thief took a car at 5:54 a.m., just before the street woke up to find it gone.

Vandalism: 200 block of South 41st Street. The sun was barely up at 6 a.m. when someone left their mark on property that wasn't theirs.

Grand theft: 100 block of Murdock Street. Something substantial was stolen at 6:25 a.m.

Residential burglary: 1400 block of Monterey Street. Someone forced their way into a home at 7:58 a.m.

Fraud: 200 block of Barrett Avenue. Someone was taken for money at 9:24 a.m.

Reckless burning: Undisclosed location in 94804. A fire broke out at 10:18 a.m. through someone's carelessness.

Assault with a deadly weapon, exhibiting a firearm, obstruction, vandalism: 4800 block of Hartnett Avenue. A person pulled out a weapon, assaulted someone, made themselves difficult with officers, and left damage behind, all at 2:18 p.m.

Obstruction: 4900 block of Hartnett Avenue. A person decided at 3:10 p.m. that cooperation wasn't on the agenda.

Criminal threats: 4900 block of San Pablo Dam Road. Words were spoken at 4:40 p.m. that crossed the line into criminal territory.

DUI: Undisclosed location in 94806. A driver was pulled over at 5:33 p.m. and found to be in no condition to be behind the wheel.

Robbery: 4500 block of Macdonald Avenue. A person was robbed at 6:56 p.m. The suspect didn't get far.

Car theft: 200 block of Willard Avenue. Whoever took it did so with the easy confidence of someone who had done it before, at 7 p.m.

Obstruction, evading police: Undisclosed location. Someone made a point of being difficult with officers at 8:27 p.m. and then tried to run.

Criminal threats: 100 block of 22nd Street. An individual made threats at 9 p.m. that left the people who heard them shaken enough to call the police.

Obstruction: Undisclosed location in 94806. A person pushed back against officers at 9:55 p.m. They were arrested for it.

Vandalism, domestic battery: Undisclosed location in 94804. A night that turned ugly, property was damaged, and someone was hurt at 10:18 p.m.

Car theft: 200 block of 3rd Street. The block was quiet enough at 10:18 p.m. for a thief to take a car and slip away unnoticed.

Wednesday, May 20

Robbery, domestic battery: 3000 block of Pullman Avenue. What started as a domestic dispute at midnight became a robbery before it was over.

Vehicle burglary: 3100 block of Jo Ann Drive. A parked car was found broken into at 1:17 a.m.

Arson: 500 block of 20th Street. A fire was set deliberately at 3:10 a.m.

Car theft: 100 block of 12th Street. The owner stepped out at 7:22 a.m. and found nothing where their car had been.

Grand theft: 1600 block of Atlas Road. A theft of some consequence was reported at 8:04 a.m.

Commercial burglary: 200 block of Marina Way South. A business was found pried open at 8:42 a.m.

Trespassing, drug paraphernalia: 500 block of Nevin Avenue. A person was found where they didn't belong at 9:25 a.m., and they hadn't come empty-handed.

Drug paraphernalia: Undisclosed location in 94804. A person was arrested midday at 12:19 p.m. with the trappings of a habit they couldn't hide.

Fraud: 2200 block of Nevin Avenue. A fraud came to light at 1:30 p.m.

Residential burglary: 3300 block of Wall Avenue. A home was broken into at 2:30 p.m.

Petty theft: 500 block of 20th Street. Property went missing at 3 p.m.

Theft from vehicle: 200 block of S. 20th Street. A thief slipped into a parked car at 3:50 p.m. and left with what they found inside.

Assault with a deadly weapon: 3000 block of Barkley Drive. Someone was attacked with a weapon at 5:45 p.m. An arrest followed.

Theft from building, residential burglary: 700 block of 10th Street. A home was broken into and property taken from inside at 6:30 p.m.

Grand theft, conspiracy: 900 block of S. 34th Street. Something worth taking was taken at 6:45 p.m. Police believe it wasn't a solo operation.

Battery: 400 block of 20th Street. A person was attacked at 6:48 p.m. An arrest was made.

Shooting at inhabited dwelling, marijuana possession for sale: 1000 block of Campbell Street. Someone fired a gun at an occupied building at 7:28 p.m. A person was also found in possession of marijuana for sale.

Marijuana possession for sale: Undisclosed location in 94804. A person was arrested at 7:28 p.m. found with more marijuana than personal use could explain.

Armed robbery, negligent firearm discharge: 3100 block of Hilltop Mall Road. Someone robbed a person at gunpoint at 10:10 p.m. and fired the weapon before fleeing.

Petty theft: 5400 block of Sutter Avenue. Something small was taken from someone it belonged to at 10:30 p.m.

Vehicle burglary: 300 block of Barrett Avenue. A car was broken into at 10:47 p.m.

Obstruction, disorderly conduct: 1300 block of Fred Jackson Way. Someone caused a disturbance at 10:48 p.m. and made themselves no easier to deal with when officers arrived.

Thursday, May 21

Court order violation: 800 block of Brookside Drive. Someone saw fit to violate a court order at midnight.

Vandalism: 600 block of 37th Street. The new day arrived at midnight to find property already damaged.

Obstruction, DUI: Undisclosed location in 94804. A driver stopped at 12:23 a.m. was drunk and uncooperative about it.

Vandalism: 600 block of 37th Street. The block was hit again at 1:49 a.m. on the same stretch of street, a different hour, same story.

Vandalism: 2200 block of Ohio Avenue. Someone was still at it at 2:33 a.m. They were arrested.

Residential burglary: 2600 block of Hilltop Drive. Burglars were at a home by 7 a.m.

Identity fraud: 700 block of Barrett Avenue. Someone had borrowed another person's identity without asking at 7:31 a.m.

Grand theft: 6000 block of Giant Hwy. A theft of note was reported at 10:57 a.m.

Criminal threats: 200 block of Barrett Avenue. Threats were made at 11:11 a.m., serious enough to bring out a police report.

Grand theft: 1000 block of W. Cutting Boulevard. Something of value disappeared from the block at 1:20 p.m.

Vehicle burglary: 300 block of South 4th Street. A car was broken into at 3:30 p.m.

Illegal firearm possession: 3100 block of Pullman Avenue. A person was found with a gun they had no legal right to carry at 3:32 p.m. They were arrested.

Car theft: 6100 block of Tehama Avenue. A thief picked it out in the afternoon light at 4:21 p.m. and drove it off like it was already theirs.

Battery: 300 block of 24th Street. A physical altercation was reported at 6:43 p.m.

Battery: 2100 block of Nevin Avenue. A person was attacked at 10:52 p.m.The person who did it was arrested.

Friday, May 22

Theft of vehicle parts: 300 block of 44th Street. In the quiet of the night at 1:11 a.m., a thief picked a parked car apart.

Vehicle tampering: 100 block of Lakeshore Court. Deep in the night at 2:16 a.m., someone was found working over a parked car.

Vandalism: 400 block of South Street. Someone passed through at 2:17 a.m. and left damage in their wake.

Vehicle burglary: 200 block of S. 41st Street. A thief was at a parked car before dawn at 5:20 a.m., getting in and taking what they could.

Car theft: 100 block of 13th Street. It was gone at 5:57 a.m. while the street was still dark and still.

Theft from vehicle, vandalism: 3200 block of Humphrey Avenue. A thief got into a car at 6 a.m., took what they wanted, and left the rest worse than they found it.

Vehicle tampering: Undisclosed location in 94801. A person was found with their hands where they didn't belong at 6:43 a.m.

Vehicle burglary: 500 block of 19th Street. Someone broke into a car at 7:53 a.m.

Assault with a deadly weapon, domestic battery, kidnapping: 600 block of S. 31st Street. A domestic dispute turned dangerous at 12:09 p.m., a weapon was used and a person was held against their will.

Car theft: 5600 block of Central Avenue. In the middle of the afternoon at 12:41 p.m., a thief walked up and drove someone's car away.

Car theft: 300 block of Beck Street. A thief helped themselves to it at 2:32 p.m.

Illegal firearm possession: 3100 block of Pullman Avenue. A person was found carrying an illegal firearm at 4:46 p.m. and was also arrested.

Criminal threats: 1500 block of Seawind Drive. Someone said things at 8:03 p.m. that they shouldn't have.

Exhibiting a firearm, criminal threats: 500 block of S. 17th Street. A person made threats and put a gun in the conversation at 8:18 p.m.

Assault with a deadly weapon: Undisclosed location in 94801. A person was attacked with a weapon at 9:07 p.m.

Car theft: 1600 block of Coalinga Avenue. Someone came for it after dark and was long gone by 11 p.m.

Possession of stolen vehicle, conspiracy: 700 block of Lassen Street. A stolen vehicle was recovered at 11:59 p.m., and a person was arrested. Police suspected they weren't working alone.

Saturday, May 23

Grand theft: 5400 block of Fresno Avenue. A grand theft was reported at 12:17 a.m.

DUI: Undisclosed location in 94804. A driver was still out at 2:28 a.m. and in no shape to be.

Arson: 4100 block of Nevin Avenue. Something was set on fire at 5:37 a.m.

Battery: 3400 block of Collins Avenue. The morning was barely underway at 7:49 a.m. when a person was attacked.

Vehicle burglary: 1700 block of Ohio Avenue. A car was picked out, pried open, and picked over at 9:03 a.m.

Assault with a deadly weapon, vandalism: 1200 block of York Street. A person was attacked with a weapon at 9:27 a.m. and property was damaged in the same incident. An arrest was made.

Car theft: 2800 block of Gaynor Avenue. A thief sized it up at 10:23 a.m. and drove it away.

Assault with a deadly weapon, domestic battery, criminal threats: 300 block of Harbour Way. A weapon was used, threats were made, and someone was hurt at 10:40 a.m.

Battery: 3100 block of Garrity Way. An assault was reported at 4 p.m. in the middle of the afternoon.

Domestic battery: 500 block of S. 31st Street. A dispute inside a home became violent at 7:40 p.m.

Sunday, May 24

Assault with a deadly weapon, aggravated battery: 200 block of 23rd Street. A person was attacked with a weapon at 1 a.m. An arrest was made.

Disorderly conduct: 1700 block of Garvin Avenue. Someone caused a disturbance at 1:06 a.m.

Domestic battery: 600 block of 8th Street. A domestic battery was reported at 1:35 a.m.

DUI: Undisclosed location in 94804. A driver was cited at 2:02 a.m. for operating under the influence.

Car theft: 5200 block of Clinton Avenue. The owner came back to nothing but an empty curb at 9:24 a.m.

Drug paraphernalia: Undisclosed location in 94801. Someone was taken into custody on a drug charge at 9:44 a.m.

Car theft: Undisclosed location in 94801. Someone took a car while the block went about its day at 10 a.m.

Child abuse, assault with a deadly weapon: 100 block of S. 20th Street. A weapon was used during a domestic dispute in which a child was also harmed at 1:19 p.m.

Theft from building: 11900 block of San Pablo Avenue. Someone took property from inside a building at 2 p.m. and left.

Assault with a firearm, criminal threats: 300 block of 28th Street. Someone made threats and then backed them up with a gun at 3 p.m.

Battery, assault with a deadly weapon: 2600 block of Hilltop Drive. A person was beaten and attacked with a weapon at 5:56 p.m.
