Two people were found dead inside a Clinton Avenue home Friday morning in what police are calling an apparent murder-suicide, the second homicide investigation the department has opened in as many days.

Officers responded at approximately 9:57 a.m. to the 5600 block of Clinton Avenue for a welfare check after a family member contacted police. The family member had received an email from the resident indicating plans to self-harm. Officers forced entry into the residence and located two people deceased inside.

Investigators believe the incident was an apparent murder-suicide and say it was isolated, with no ongoing threat to public safety.
