Crime in the City
Richmond police faced another busy week from September 22-28, responding to multiple serious incidents, including several sexual assaults, DUI-related hit-and-runs causing injuries, numerous armed robberies, and extensive firearm violations. The week saw continued problems with vehicle theft, domestic violence, and drug-related offenses across the city.
Monday, September 22, 2025
Weapon violation: 3500 block of Bissell Avenue. A convicted felon was found with tear gas at 2:34 a.m.
Vandalism: In the 94803 zip code. A repeat offender struck again with property damage at 9:40 a.m.
Check fraud: 700 block of 15th Street. Fictitious checks were passed at noon.
Drug violation: In the 94801 zip code. Narcotics were discovered at 12:47 p.m.
Vandalism: 1400 block of Hilltop Mall Road. Property damage under $400 occurred at 1:08 p.m.
Robbery: 1200 block of Macdonald Avenue. A strong-arm robbery was reported at 1:19 p.m.
Assault with weapon: In the 94804 zip code. A deadly weapon was used in an attack at 2:55 p.m.
Assault with weapon: In the 94804 zip code. Another deadly weapon assault took place at 6:15 p.m. Richmond firefighters, AMR paramedics and REACH air medical services transported the victim of a stabbing to a local trauma center for emergency care.
Multiple drug charges: 4700 block of Hartnett Avenue. A drug-dealing operation with marijuana and narcotics was busted, and an obstruction charge was also tacked on at 7:38 p.m.
Disorderly conduct: 900 block of 13th Street. Public intoxication led to disorderly behavior and a trip to the gray bar hotel at 8:50 p.m.
Vehicle theft: 600 block of 41st Street. Night’s agents sequestered a car at 9 p.m.
Battery: 2400 block of Nevin Avenue. Fists flew during a physical altercation at 9:02 p.m.
Firearm discharge: 900 block of Triangle Court. A firearm was discharged in a grossly negligent manner at 9:16 p.m.
Vehicle theft: 12000 block of San Pablo Avenue. Another car disappeared without permission at 10:11 p.m.
Vandalism: In the 94804 zip code. Power lines were damaged at 10:24 p.m.
Petty theft: 500 block of 11th Street. Items were stolen from a parked vehicle at 11 p.m.
Assault with a firearm: Triangle Court. A firearm was used during an assault at 11 p.m.

Vandalism: 1600 block of Chanslor Avenue. Property was damaged at 1:20 a.m.
Vandalism: 700 block of Yuba Street. Expensive property damage over $400 occurred at 3:05 a.m.
Commercial burglary: 900 block of 13th Street. A business was broken into at 4:55 a.m.
Petty theft: 1400 block of Harbour Way S. Auto parts walked away from a vehicle at 5:30 a.m.
Auto burglary: 3400 block of Wall Avenue. A car was broken into at 6:29 a.m.
Firearm violation: In the 94804 zip code. A firearm was illegally exhibited at 6:52 a.m.
Multiple violations: In the 94801 zip code. A driver seemingly tried to present false identification, probably because they were driving with a license suspended for a DUI at 8:25 a.m.
Multiple charges: In the 94804 zip code. Police busted a driver in a stolen vehicle who was also picked up drug possession charges and DUI violations at 12:53 p.m.
Domestic violence: 100 block of S 35th Street. Police made an arrest for aggravated assault at 1 p.m.
Battery: 200 block of 15th Street. A physical confrontation erupted at 2:25 p.m.
Grand theft: 700 block of Chesley Avenue. A major theft occurred at 2:35 p.m.
Drug violation: 600 block of 1st Street. Controlled substances were found at 4:30 p.m.
Vehicle embezzlement: 1000 block of 23rd Street. A rental vehicle was never returned at 4:59 p.m.
Vandalism: 5500 block of Clinton Avenue. Property damage over $400 occurred at 5 p.m.
Battery: 3200 block of Pierce Street. Another physical altercation broke out at 5:35 p.m.
Driving without a license: In the 94806. An unlicensed driver was stopped at 5:58 p.m.
Sex offender violations: 1700 block of Regatta Boulevard. A transient failed to update registration as required at 8:17 p.m.
Vehicle theft: 3600 block of Sierra Ridge. Another unauthorized borrowing occurred at 8:25 p.m.
Vehicle theft: 500 block of S 19th Street. Yet another car was wrested from its keeper at 10 p.m.
Vandalism: 300 block of Atlas Drive in Hercules. Cross-jurisdictional property damage over $400 at 10:15 p.m.
Police evasion: In the 94801 zip code. A suspect fled from officers with wanton disregard at 10:48 p.m.
Multiple charges: 800 block of Griffin Drive. Outstanding felony warrants served with domestic battery and property damage at 11:50 p.m. The suspect was arrested.

Vandalism: 400 block of S 8th Street. Property damage over $400 occurred at 6:36 a.m.
Fraud: 4300 block of Overend Avenue. Money was obtained through false pretenses at 10:50 a.m.
Mail theft: 100 block of Bissell Way. Postal piracy was reported at 10:57 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 200 block of 15th Street. Thieves extracted another automobile from the good people of Richmond at 11:18 a.m.
Battery: In the 94801 zip code. A physical altercation took place at 12:40 p.m.
Multiple serious charges: 2900 block of Ohio Avenue. An incident involving sexual assault, assault with deadly weapon, stalking, and domestic violence was reported at 12:40 p.m.
Child abuse: 6100 block of Plymouth Avenue. Police received reports of injury inflicted on a child at 12:43 p.m.
Custody violation: 5800 block of Olinda Road. Parental rights were said to have been violated at 1:06 p.m.
Multiple DUI charges: In the 94804 zip code. Someone was driving under the influence while on probation with a suspended license at 1:35 p.m.
Vehicle embezzlement: 3000 block of Hilltop Mall Road. Someone was busted for not returning a rental car at 2:28 p.m.
Vehicle recovery: In the 94804 zip code. A stolen vehicle was restored to the fold at 3:13 p.m.
Domestic violence: 100 block of Shoreline Court. Domestic violence was reported at 3:42 p.m.
Vehicle theft: 2300 block of Maricopa Avenue. Another seized by wicked design at 4:20 p.m.
Multiple firearm charges: Crescent Park. A youngster was arrested after reportedly being found with a loaded stolen handgun, a large capacity magazine, ammunition, and obstructing officers at 4:33 p.m.
Robbery with weapon: 800 block of 23rd Street. An armed robbery occurred at 4:41 p.m.
Grand theft: 500 block of 8th Street. Theft from a motor vehicle at 5:30 p.m.
Petty theft: 600 block of S 30th Street. Auto parts were stolen at 6:30 p.m.
Vehicle theft: 500 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. Another unauthorized borrowing at 8:30 p.m.
DUI: 800 block of Dornan Drive. Police busted a tired and emotional driver at 8:58 p.m.
Multiple DUI charges: 600 block of 27th Street. A double dose of drunk driving charges led to cuffs at 9:10 p.m.

Vandalism: 400 block of Commodore Drive. Property damage over $400 occurred at 12:00 a.m.
Assault with weapon: 1000 block of Chesley Avenue. A deadly weapon attack took place at 2:38 a.m.
Petty theft: 4400 block of Sycamore Avenue. Auto parts were stolen at 8:30 a.m.
Vehicle recovery: In the 94806 zip code. A stolen vehicle was recovered at 10:22 a.m.
Vehicle tampering: 700 block of 14th Street. Someone meddled with a vehicle at 10:38 a.m.
Warrant arrest: 3000 block of Groom Drive. An outstanding misdemeanor warrant was served at 10:43 a.m. The suspect was arrested.
Warrant arrest: 1400 block of Marina Way South. Another warrant was served at 10:44 a.m. The suspect was arrested.
Vandalism: 2300 block of Grant Avenue. Property damage over $400 occurred at 10:48 a.m.
Child abuse: 200 block of 24th Street. A child was injured at 11:31 a.m.
Battery: 4300 block of Cutting Boulevard. Fists flew during a confrontation at 2:18 p.m.
Auto burglary and theft: 2800 block of McBryde Avenue. A car was broken into and items stolen at 5:30 p.m.
Robbery: In the 94804 zip code. A strong-arm robbery occurred at 6 p.m.
Multiple firearm and drug charges: W Macdonald Avenue and Regatta Boulevard. A prohibited person with loaded weapons and drugs for sale at 7:00 p.m.
Battery: 12800 block of San Pablo Avenue. A physical altercation erupted at 7:21 p.m.
Multiple assault charges: 3600 block of Chanslor Avenue. Someone was arrested on simple assault charges, and someone was arrested on aggravated assault charges at 7:30 p.m.
Domestic battery: 2200 block of Nevin Avenue. Domestic violence wa reported at 8:24 p.m.
Vehicle theft: 3100 block of Garrity Way. Another car disappeared at 9 p.m.

Vandalism: 600 block of 34th Street. Property damage under $400 occurred at 4:08 a.m.
Sexual assault and robbery: In the 94804 zip code. A sexual assault with armed robbery was reported at 4:28 a.m.
Drug violation: 1100 block of Eaglewood Court. Paraphernalia was discovered at 8:35 a.m.
Domestic violence: 1900 block of Bissell Avenue. Domestic violence was reported at 8:38 a.m.
Robbery: 4300 block of Cutting Boulevard. A strong-arm robbery occurred at 8:54 a.m.
Impersonation: 100 block of S 9th Street. Someone falsely assuming the identity of another person was arrested at 10 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 2100 block of Macdonald Avenue. Someone’s car was gathered through corrupted means at 10:06 a.m.
Driving violation: In the 94804 zip code. A driver was found with a restricted DUI license at 10:16 a.m.
Assault arrest: 1600 block of Chanslor Avenue. A home break-in and domestic violence ended in an arrest for assault at 11:59 a.m.
Battery: 3900 block of Ohio Avenue. A physical confrontation occurred at 2:18 p.m.
Battery: 2400 block of Macdonald Avenue. Another altercation broke out at 3:45 p.m.
Hit and run: In the 94801 zip code. A crash with injuries where the driver fled at 6:27 p.m.
Residential burglary: 700 block of Thomas Drive. A home was broken into at 7:05 p.m.
Multiple charges: 1800 block of Roosevelt Avenue. Residential burglary, domestic violence, vandalism, and aggravated assault arrest at the same location at 7:28 p.m.
Petty theft: 800 block of 7th Street. Auto parts were stolen at 10:00 p.m.

DUI: In the 94804 zip code. An overserved driver was busted behind the wheel at 12:04 a.m.
Residential burglary: 2300 block of Brooks Avenue. Officers busted a burglar after a home was broken into at 6:46 a.m.
Commercial burglary: 500 block of Spring Street. A business was broken into at 10:56 a.m.
Petty theft: 800 block of S 49th Street. Light-fingered activity was reported at 11:02 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 400 block of Metro Walk Way. Another car was seized beneath the unforgiving noonday sun.
Vehicle theft: 800 block of McLaughlin Street. Another unauthorized borrowing was reported at 3:32 p.m. But the car thief was captured.
Domestic violence: 700 block of 8th Street. A court order was violated, and a suspect was arrested at 4 p.m.
Robbery: 2100 block of Nevin Avenue. A strong-arm robbery occurred at 7:06 p.m.
Domestic violence: 600 block of Lucas Avenue. Another protective order was violated, and an arrest was made at 8:18 p.m.
Petty theft: 11900 block of San Pablo Avenue. A thief was busted after stealing from a building at 8:42 p.m.
Warrant arrest: In the 94804 zip code. A bench warrant for failure to appear was served at 9:34 p.m. The suspect was arrested.
Battery: 700 block of Thomas Drive. A physical altercation took place at 9:44 p.m.
Petty theft: 100 block of 5th Street. More theft from a motor vehicle at 11 p.m.
Multiple firearm charges: 4600 block of Cypress Avenue. A gunslinger racked up several charges, including having loaded concealed weapons, obstruction, and hit-and-run at 11:47 p.m.

Firearm violation: In the 94806 zip code. A firearm was illegally exhibited at 8 a.m.
Domestic battery: 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. Police received reports of domestic violence at 9:40 a.m.
Multiple child abuse charges: 300 block of Harbour Way S. Child cruelty and domestic battery at the same location at 9:41 a.m.
Vandalism and drugs: 200 block of 23rd/24th Street area. Police busted someone on destruction of property and drug paraphernalia charges at 10:10 a.m.
