Richmond police responded to a heavy mix of calls during the week of Nov. 3–8, ranging from auto thefts and reports of vandalism to several serious violent crimes, including assaults, robberies and a fatal shooting on Carlson Boulevard. The following is a summary of incident reports released by the department.

Monday, November 3
Assault with a firearm: In the 94804 zip code. An assault with a firearm on a person was reported at 1:39 a.m.
Grand theft: 6th Street. A theft was reported at 2:30 a.m.
Auto theft: 700 block of S 45th Street. A vehicle was taken without the owner’s consent at 3 a.m.
Auto theft: 900 block of Carlson Boulevard. A car had a sudden change of ownership at 5:22 a.m.
Firearm brandishing: 1000 block of Cutting Boulevard. Officers arrested someone suspected of brandishing a firearm replica at 6:43 a.m.
Drug possession: 900 block of Nevin Avenue. Possession of a controlled substance for sale was reported at 6:54 a.m.
Auto theft: 3700 block of Waller Avenue. Someone took a car on an impromptu test drive at 6:56 a.m.
Auto burglary: 600 block of Canal Boulevard. A vehicle was broken into at 8:25 a.m.
Elder abuse: 3500 block of Center Avenue. Officers made an arrest for destruction of property after responding to reports of cruelty toward an elder or dependent adult at 1:36 p.m.
Criminal threats: 700 block of 8th Street. Someone threatened a crime with the intent to terrorize at 1:40 p.m.
Domestic violence violation and threats: 500 block of Ripley Avenue. Officers made arrests after someone allegedly violated a court order to prevent domestic violence and threatened to commit a crime with the intent to terrorize at 1:55 p.m.
Weapon violation: 100 block of Harbour Way. Officers made an arrest for weapon law violations after discovering an unloaded firearm at 1:56 p.m.
Financial fraud: 900 block of Ventura Street. Someone benefited from a false financial statement at 3:28 p.m.
Grand theft: In the 94801 zip code. A theft was reported at 8 p.m.
Battery: 400 block of Marina Way South. Officers made arrests for simple assault after someone reportedly committed battery against a spouse, ex-spouse, or dating partner and inflicted injury upon a child at 8:49 p.m.
Suspended license: In the 94804 zip code. A driver was busted after driving while their license was suspended or revoked for DUI at 11:12 p.m.
Vandalism: 600 block of Acacia Avenue. Officers made an arrest for destruction, damage, or vandalism of property valued at $400 or more at 11:19 p.m.
Tuesday, November 4
Firearm display: 2500 block of Macdonald Avenue. A firearm was exhibited at 12:32 a.m.
Contempt of court: Circle Court. Someone disobeyed a court order at 12:49 a.m.
Vandalism: 100 block of 15th Street. Property was defaced at 6:11 a.m.
Auto theft: 5400 block of Amend Road. A vehicle was commandeered at 10 a.m.
Elder abuse: 1400 block of Monterey Street. Harm to an elder or dependent adult was reported at 10:38 a.m.
Grand theft from a person: In the 94804 zip code. A theft from a person occurred at 2:15 p.m.
Residential burglary and resisting arrest: 1500 block of Nevin Plaza. A home was forcibly entered, and someone obstructed or resisted a public officer at 2:23 p.m.
Auto theft: 5500 block of Central Avenue. A car was stolen at 3:55 p.m.
Vehicle recovery: 1000 block of Macdonald Avenue. A stolen vehicle was recovered at 4:10 p.m.
Residential burglary: 300 block of 40th Street. A home was entered without force at 4:19 p.m.
Mail theft: 500 block of 42nd Street. Mail was stolen at 6:43 p.m.
Police evasion and resisting arrest: 5000 block of Hartnett Avenue. Someone evaded police with disregard for safety and obstructed or resisted an officer at 6:49 p.m.
Auto theft: 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. Someone’s car experienced an involuntary change of ownership at 10:02 p.m.
Drug and probation violation: In the 94804 zip code. Officers made arrests for drug or narcotic violations after discovering controlled substances, unlawful paraphernalia, and a probation violation at 11:37 p.m.
Vandalism, resisting arrest and assault: Intersection of Giant Road and Atlas Road. Someone damaged property valued at $400 or more, obstructed or resisted a public officer, and committed assault with a deadly weapon and with force, causing possible great bodily injury at 11:44 p.m.
Wednesday, November 5
Vandalism: 1200 block of Florida Avenue. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 3 a.m.
Multiple DUI charges and resisting arrest: 500 block of Wine Street. A driver, reportedly under the influence of alcohol, was arrested for allegedly obstructing or resisting a public officer and driving with a suspended or revoked license for DUI at 3:22 a.m.
Auto theft: 500 block of 2nd Street. A car was abducted by rogue elements at 5:23 a.m.
Residential burglary: 2500 block of Spinnaker Way. Officers arrested someone on burglary and breaking and entering charges after a home was entered without force at 6:55 a.m.
Grand theft: 200 block of 23rd Street. A theft was reported at 8:24 a.m.
Petty theft: 300 block of S 15th Street. A theft occurred at 9 a.m.
Illegal dumping: 1500 block of Carlson Boulevard. Waste in commercial quantities was dumped at 9:28 a.m.
Marijuana possession: 5000 block of Valley View Road. A minor possessed marijuana at school at 10:05 a.m.
Vandalism: 500 block of 16th Street. Property was defaced at 12:13 p.m.
Disorderly conduct: In the 94801 zip code. Officers arrested someone for drug violations after responding to disorderly conduct involving being under the influence at 1:11 p.m.
Residential burglary: 200 block of S 13th Street. A home was forcibly entered at 2 p.m.
Sex crimes: 300 block of South 8th Street. Multiple serious sex crimes were reported at 2:52 p.m.
Petty theft: 11900 block of San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito. A theft occurred at 5:44 p.m.
Aggravated assault: 1600 block of Portola Avenue. Officers arrested someone for aggravated assault at 6:17 p.m.
Robbery: 1100 block of Macdonald Avenue. A strong-arm robbery was reported at 7:06 p.m.
Petty theft: 4800 block of Central Avenue. A theft was reported at 7:30 p.m.
Criminal threats and contempt of court: Circle Court. Officers made arrests for intimidation after someone threatened a crime with the intent to terrorize and disobeyed a court order at 11:52 p.m.
Thursday, November 6
Weapon violations: 100 block of Espee Avenue. Officers made arrests for weapon law violations after discovering a loaded firearm carried by someone with a prior felony conviction, a criminal street gang member carrying a loaded firearm, a loaded handgun not registered to the carrier, prohibited possession of ammunition, and a probation violation at 1:25 a.m.
Aggravated assault: 2500 block of Macdonald Avenue. A battery with serious bodily injury occurred at 3:28 a.m.
Commercial burglary: 3400 block of Blume Drive. A commercial property was forcibly entered at 3:40 a.m.
Weapon violations: 600 block of 1st Street. Officers made arrests after discovering a loaded handgun not registered to the carrier and illegal possession of an assault weapon at 5 a.m.
Deadly weapon display: 200 block of South 13th Street. Officers apprehended someone on aggravated assault and exhibition of a deadly weapon at 6:22 a.m.
Robbery: 2300 block of Macdonald Avenue. A strong-arm robbery occurred at 9:37 a.m.
Vandalism: Harbour Way. Property damage valued at less than $400 was reported at 9:40 a.m.
Fraud: 4900 block of McBryde Avenue. Someone defrauded an innkeeper of $950 or less at 11:32 a.m.
Auto theft and vandalism: 100 block of Harbour Way. Officers made arrests for motor vehicle theft after a vehicle was taken without consent, and property damage valued at $400 or more occurred at 1 p.m.
Robbery with knife: 600 block of Harbour Way. A robbery with a knife or cutting instrument occurred at 1:29 p.m.
Identity theft: 3200 block of May Road. Someone obtained credit using another person’s ID at 4:29 p.m.
DUI: In the 94803 zip code. Someone drove under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher at 6:23 p.m.
Criminal threats: 900 block of 23rd Street. Someone threatened a crime with the intent to terrorize at 6:31 p.m.
Vandalism: 700 block of 7th Street. Property damage valued at less than $400 was reported at 8:32 p.m.
Auto theft, resisting arrest and drug violations: In the 94801 zip code. Officers made arrests for drug equipment violations after a vehicle was taken without consent, someone obstructed or resisted a public officer, and controlled substances and unlawful paraphernalia were discovered at 10:17 p.m.
BB device discharge: 400 block of S 38th Street. A BB device was discharged in a grossly negligent manner at 11:37 p.m.
Friday, November 7
Vandalism: 100 block of 5th Street. Officers captured a suspected vandal at 4:25 a.m.
Auto theft: 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. A car was borrowed indefinitely without asking at 4:49 a.m.
Contempt of court: 1700 block of Regatta Boulevard. Someone disobeyed a court order at 8 a.m.
Auto theft: 600 block of 31st Street. A vehicle was taken without the owner’s consent at 11:40 a.m.
Suspended license: In the 94805 zip code. A person drove while their license was suspended or revoked for DUI at 1:49 p.m.
Driving without a license: Intersection of 23rd Street and Nevin Avenue. Someone drove without a license at 2:40 p.m.
Petty theft: 300 block of 27th Street. A theft occurred at 6:09 p.m.
Auto theft: 700 block of 31st Street. A car began pursuing other opportunities at 6:30 p.m.
Commercial burglary: Harbor Way. A commercial property was forcibly entered at 7 p.m.
Residential burglary: 700 block of Western Drive. A home was entered without force at 8:10 p.m.
Vehicle tampering: 500 block of 7th Street. A vehicle was tampered with at 10:00 p.m.
Auto theft: 800 block of 6th Street. Someone’s parking spot became roomier than expected at 10 p.m.
Auto theft: 3000 block of Barkley Drive. A car owner experienced a sudden lack of a car at 11 p.m.
DUI: In the 94801 zip code. Someone drove under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher at 11:04 p.m.
Saturday, November 8
Assault: 200 block of 23rd Street. An assault with a deadly weapon occurred at 12:02 a.m.
DUI: 2300 block of McBryde Avenue. Officers arrested a driver suspected of being under the influence at 12:37 a.m.
Reckless driving and resisting arrest: In the 94801 zip code. Officers made arrests for all other offenses after someone drove recklessly on a highway and obstructed or resisted a public officer at 1:11 a.m.
Aggravated assault: 3500 block of El Portal Drive. Officers made an arrest for aggravated assault at 2:05 a.m.
DUI: 900 block of 24th Street. Someone drove under the influence of alcohol at 2:43 a.m.
Firearm storage violation: 600 block of Griffin Drive. Criminal storage of a firearm in the second degree was reported at 4:36 a.m.
Vehicle recovery: In the 94801 zip code. A stolen vehicle was recovered at 5:10 a.m.
Contempt of court: 1700 block of Regatta Boulevard. Someone disobeyed a court order at 6:58 a.m.
Criminal threats: In the 94801 zip code. Someone threatened a crime with the intent to terrorize at 9:15 a.m.
Vandalism: 4100 block of Nevin Avenue. Property was defaced at 10:30 a.m.
Resisting arrest and stolen vehicle: 500 block of South 12th Street. Someone obstructed or resisted a public officer and possessed a stolen vehicle at 10:47 a.m.
Petty theft: 2700 block of Nevin Avenue. A theft occurred at 1 p.m.
Alcohol violation: In the 94801 zip code. An alcohol-related quality of life violation was reported at 3:01 p.m.
Commercial burglary and theft: 12600 block of San Pablo Avenue. A commercial property was forcibly entered, and theft from a building occurred at 9 a.m.
Criminal threats: In the 94801 zip code. Someone threatened a crime with the intent to terrorize at 9:15 a.m.
Vandalism: 4100 block of Nevin Avenue. Property was defaced at 10:30 a.m.
Resisting arrest and stolen vehicle: 500 block of S 12th Street. Officers made arrests after someone obstructed or resisted a public officer and possessed a stolen vehicle at 10:47 a.m.
Petty theft: 2700 block of Nevin Avenue. A theft occurred at 1 p.m.
Alcohol violation: In the 94801 zip code. An alcohol-related quality of life violation was reported at 3:01 p.m.

Criminal threats: 700 block of 17th Street. Someone threatened a crime with the intent to terrorize at 7:22 p.m.
Hot wheels: In the 94804 zip code. A vehicle was stolen at 8:00 p.m.
Homicide: 800 block of Carlson Boulevard. A murder and shooting at an unoccupied dwelling, vehicle, or other structure occurred at 8:09 p.m.

Firearm discharge: 500 block of 26th Street. Someone shot at an inhabited dwelling, vehicle, or other structure at 8:52 a.m.
Kidnapping: 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. A kidnapping was reported at 10:17 a.m.
Robbery: 3100 block of Macdonald Avenue. A strong-arm robbery occurred at 12:06 p.m.
Contempt of court: 1000 block of Lassen Street. Someone disobeyed a court order at 3:19 p.m.
Criminal threats and domestic battery: 3100 block of Garrity Way. Someone threatened a crime with the intent to terrorize and committed battery against a spouse, ex-spouse, or dating partner at 9:07 p.m.
