What happened in Richmond: Assaults, robbery and arson

Assaults, a robbery and a reported arson were among the incidents logged by Richmond police between April 6 and April 12, along with multiple driving-under-the-influence arrests and 21 vehicle thefts, according to department records.

Monday, April 6

DUI: Undisclosed location in 94804. Police arrested someone after a driver was found operating a vehicle under the influence at 12:17 a.m.

Battery: 2600 block of Hilltop Drive. A person was physically attacked at 2:21 a.m.

Court order violation: 5200 block of Gordon Avenue. Police arrested someone after a court order was found to have been violated at 2:29 a.m.

Car theft: 700 block of Ripley Avenue. A car disappeared at 3:50 a.m.

Vandalism: Undisclosed location in 94801. Property was damaged at 6:07 a.m.

Vandalism: 3200 block of Macdonald Avenue. Property was damaged at 6:40 a.m.

Shoplifting: 2100 block of Meeker Avenue. A shoplifter was at work at 7:41 a.m.

False identification, drug possession, trespassing, possession of vehicle master key: 2400 block of Aberdeen Way. Police arrested someone after a person reportedly provided false identification to an officer at 9:34 a.m.

Vehicle recovery: 2600 block of Hinkley Avenue. A previously missing car was located at 9:38 a.m.

Court order violation: 2600 block of Hilltop Drive. A court order violation was reported at 9:40 a.m.

Custody deprivation: 2500 block of Lancaster Drive. A person was reported for depriving another of court-ordered custody or visitation rights at 12:55 p.m.

Car theft: Undisclosed location in 94804. Another car disappeared into the criminal underworld at 1:46 p.m.

Hit-and-run: Undisclosed location in 94803. A driver struck someone and fled the scene at 2:36 p.m.

Aggravated battery: 300 block of 33rd Street. A person was seriously injured in an assault at 3 p.m.

Sex offender registration violation: 1700 block of Regatta Boulevard. A person was cited for failing to update their sex offender registration at 3:29 p.m.

Failure to provide for a child: Undisclosed location in 94801. A person was reported for failing to provide for a child at 4:01 p.m.

Sexual battery: 3500 block of Ohio Avenue. A sexual battery was reported at 6 p.m.

Drug paraphernalia: Undisclosed location in 94801. Police arrested someone after drug paraphernalia was found at 6:09 p.m.

Domestic battery, assault with a deadly weapon: 2800 block of Pullman Avenue. A domestic partner was reportedly physically attacked at 7:16 p.m.

Fraud: 15500 block of San Pablo Avenue. A fraud was reported at 8:24 p.m.

Petty theft: 600 block of 9th Street. Property was reported stolen at 8:55 p.m.

Theft of vehicle parts: 900 block of W. Cutting Boulevard. Parts were reported stripped from a motor vehicle at 12:30 a.m.

Car theft: 600 block of Berk Avenue. It was gone before the owner realized it at 1 a.m.

Car theft, commercial burglary: 4100 block of Lakeside Drive. It vanished into the night at 1 a.m.

Negligent firearm discharge: 4900 block of Hartnett Avenue. A firearm was discharged in a grossly negligent manner at 1:39 a.m.

Car theft: 200 block of 5th Street. The spot was conspicuously empty at 1:48 a.m.

Car theft: 5100 block of Sacramento Avenue. The car took an unauthorized trip at 6 a.m.

Battery on a peace officer: 900 block of Nevin Avenue. A peace officer was physically attacked at 8:24 a.m.

Vandalism: 3100 block of Pullman Avenue. Property was damaged at 9:57 a.m.

Car theft: 600 block of S. 37th Street. The owner came back to an empty spot at 10:45 a.m.

Petty theft: 1400 block of Hilltop Mall Road. Property was reported stolen at 11:30 a.m.

Court order violation: 400 block of 22nd Street. A court order violation was reported at 1:11 p.m.

Residential burglary: 5300 block of Gately Avenue. Someone entered a residence uninvited at 6:58 p.m.

Car theft: 700 block of 7th Street. Thieves left a hollow spot on the asphalt where a perfectly good Hyundai used to sit at 11:38 a.m.
