Crime in the City
Vehicle thefts dominated Richmond police calls during the week of March 2–8, with more than two dozen cars reported stolen across the city. Police also responded to multiple robberies, assaults, domestic violence incidents, and DUI arrests.

Vehicle theft: 500 block of 24th Street. A vehicle was reported stolen at 1:30 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 600 block of 9th Street. A vehicle was reported stolen at 2:45 a.m.
Petty theft and vandalism: 3000 block of Parker Road. Property was stolen, and damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 6:30 a.m.
Vehicle burglary: Shoreline Court. A vehicle was broken into at 10:12 a.m.
Trespassing, drug possession and warrant arrest: 3100 block of Southampton Court. Police arrested someone on trespassing, narcotics paraphernalia, and felony warrant charges at 10:29 a.m.
Sexual battery: Undisclosed location in 94801. A felony sexual battery was reported at 4:08 p.m.
An unsolicited public display: 1300 block of Macdonald Avenue. Police arrested someone on an indecent exposure charge at 5:51 p.m.
DUI and driving without a license: 1100 block of 23rd Street. A DUI and driving without a license were reported at 3:50 p.m.
Vehicle tampering: 1400 block of Harbour Way South. A vehicle was tampered with at 6:30 p.m.
Vehicle recovery: 2900 block of Gomer Drive. A previously stolen vehicle was recovered at 6:38 p.m.
Vehicle theft: Undisclosed location in 94801. Police arrested someone after a vehicle was stolen at 7:08 p.m.
Battery: 1400 block of Gaynor Avenue. A battery on a person was reported at 7:58 p.m.
Driving on a suspended license: Undisclosed location in 94804. A driver was reported operating a vehicle on a license suspended for DUI at 9:56 p.m.

Vehicle theft: 600 block of 37th Street. A vehicle was reported stolen at 1:27 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 200 block of Marina Way. A vehicle was reported stolen at 4:30 a.m.
Commercial burglary: 700 block of National Court. Police arrested someone after a commercial property was forcibly entered at 5:11 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 2800 block of Garvin Avenue. A vehicle was reported stolen at 7:18 a.m.
Vehicle tampering: Undisclosed location in 94804. A vehicle was tampered with at 9:56 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 500 block of 38th Street. A vehicle was reported stolen at 11:39 a.m.
Trespassing: 2400 block of Lancaster Drive. Trespassing was reported at 12:51 p.m.
Robbery and elder theft: 5600 block of San Diego Street. A strong-arm robbery and theft from an elder or dependent adult were reported at 1:40 p.m.
Vehicle theft: 5800 block of Bayview Avenue. A vehicle was reported stolen at 3 p.m.
Driving on a restricted license: Lincoln Avenue. A driver was cited for operating a vehicle on a license restricted due to DUI at 4:08 p.m.
Vehicle recovery: 3000 block of Giant Road, San Pablo. A previously stolen vehicle was recovered at 4:35 p.m.
Evading police: Undisclosed location in 94801. Police arrested a driver for willfully evading officers at 4:50 p.m.
Petty theft: 800 block of Griffin Drive. Property was reported stolen at 6:30 p.m.
Vehicle burglary and exhibiting a deadly weapon: Undisclosed location in 94801. A vehicle was broken into, and a deadly weapon was displayed at 7:36 p.m.
Sexual assault: 400 block of 20th Street. An assault by force or fear was reported at 8:02 p.m.
Domestic battery: 4100 block of Ohio Avenue. A battery on a spouse or partner was reported at 8:49 p.m.
Vandalism: 5100 block of McBryde Avenue. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 10:19 p.m.
Grand theft: 800 block of Carlson Boulevard. Property was reported stolen at 10:22 p.m.
Wednesday, March 4
Vandalism: 1200 block of Hall Avenue. Damage to power or communication lines was reported at 12:10 a.m.
Driving under the influence: Undisclosed location in 94801. Police arrested a driver on DUI and drug charges at 12:21 a.m.
Driving on a suspended license: Undisclosed location in 94801. A driver was reported operating a vehicle on a suspended or revoked license at 1:11 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 5400 block of Gately Avenue. A vehicle was reported stolen at 6:14 a.m.
Vandalism: 500 block of South 37th Street. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 10:32 a.m.
Petty theft with priors: 11900 block of San Pablo Avenue. Police arrested someone on a petty theft charge with a prior jail conviction at 10:37 a.m.
Battery: 800 block of Brookside Drive. Battery on a person was reported at 11:15 a.m.

Petty theft: 4500 block of Macdonald Avenue. Property was reported stolen at 4:01 p.m.
Shoplifting: 12000 block of San Pablo Avenue. Shoplifting was reported at 5:10 p.m.
Domestic violence, child abuse, drug possession for sale, and firearms: 2600 block of Hilltop Drive. Police arrested someone suspected of corporal injury to a cohabitant, child abuse, possession of narcotics for sale, and carrying a loaded firearm at 5:53 p.m.
Battery: 500 block of Ohio Avenue. Battery on a person was reported at 6 p.m.
Nitrous oxide possession: 2400 block of Macdonald Avenue. A person was placed on an emergency hold, and nitrous oxide was found at 8 p.m.
Criminal threats: 2800 block of Martin Luther King Jr. Avenue. A crime was allegedly threatened with intent to terrorize at 8:50 p.m.

Vehicle theft: 400 block of 18th Street. A vehicle was reported stolen at 1:39 a.m.

Vehicle theft: 6100 block of Orchard Avenue. A vehicle was reported stolen at 7:10 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 2300 block of Gaynor Avenue. A vehicle was reported stolen at 6:41 a.m.
Vehicle tampering: 2900 block of Ohio Avenue. A vehicle was tampered with at 7:42 a.m.
Armed robbery: 2300 block of Macdonald Avenue. A robbery at gunpoint was reported at 7:55 a.m.
Child abuse and domestic violence: 900 block of West Cutting Boulevard. Assault causing great bodily injury to a child and corporal injury to a cohabitant were reported at 9:45 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 2800 block of Euclid Avenue. A vehicle was reported stolen at 10:33 a.m.
Grand theft from a person: Undisclosed location in 94804. Property was reported stolen directly from a person at 12:45 p.m.
Robbery and domestic battery: 900 block of Dornan Drive. A strong-arm robbery and battery on a spouse or partner were reported at 1:35 p.m.
Pickpocket theft: 3400 block of Roosevelt Avenue. A grand theft by pickpocketing was reported at 2:30 p.m.
Battery: 5800 block of Kipling Drive. A battery was reported at 5 p.m.
DUI and child endangerment: Undisclosed location in 94804. Police arrested a driver on DUI and felony child cruelty charges at 5:45 p.m.
Assault with a firearm: 2400 block of Aberdeen Way. A person was assaulted with a firearm at 6:55 p.m.
Assault with a deadly weapon and child abuse: 200 block of S. 7th Street. Police arrested someone after a person was assaulted with a deadly weapon, a child was subjected to cruelty, and a battery was reported at 7:49 p.m.
Vehicle recovery: 2600 block of Foothill Avenue. A previously stolen vehicle was recovered at 10:25 p.m.
Domestic court order violation: 400 block of S. 29th Street. A person was found in violation of a court order to prevent domestic violence at 11:04 p.m.
Friday, March 6
Battery and child abuse: 300 block of Maine Avenue. Police arrested someone suspected of battery, child cruelty, and obstruction of an officer at midnight.
Grand theft of vehicle parts: 2900 block of Gomer Drive. Parts were reported stolen from a motor vehicle at 12:21 a.m.
Driving under the influence: Undisclosed location in 94801. Police arrested a driver on DUI charges at 1:46 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 700 block of 5th Street. A vehicle was reported stolen at 3 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 2800 block of Esmond Avenue. A vehicle was reported stolen at 7:30 a.m.
Criminal threats and domestic court order violation: 3100 block of Southampton Court. A crime was allegedly threatened with intent to terrorize, and a domestic relations court order was violated at 11:05 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 200 block of S. 46th Street. A vehicle was reported stolen at 11:48 a.m.

Driving under the influence: 12400 block of San Pablo Avenue. Police arrested a driver on DUI charges at 6 p.m.

Vehicle recovery: 800 block of Dornan Drive. A previously stolen vehicle was recovered at 5:37 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 600 block of 17th Street. A vehicle was reported stolen at 8:17 a.m.
Vehicle burglary and possession of stolen property: 3100 block of Bristol Court. A vehicle was broken into, and stolen property was found at 9 a.m.
Battery with serious bodily injury: West Macdonald Avenue. A person was battered with serious bodily injury at 11:23 a.m.
Vehicle burglary: 3200 block of Pierce Street. A vehicle was broken into at 12:04 p.m.
Exhibiting a firearm: Undisclosed location in 94803. A person was reported to have displayed a firearm at 3:57 p.m.
Robbery and domestic battery: 200 block of 15th Street. Police arrested someone after a strong-arm robbery and battery on a spouse or partner were reported at 4:45 p.m.

Aggravated assault: 1500 block of Marina Way South. A person was battered with serious bodily injury and assaulted with force likely to cause great bodily injury at 3:32 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 200 block of Clarence Street. A vehicle was reported stolen at 6 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 1500 block of San Joaquin Street. A vehicle was reported stolen at 9:11 a.m.
Vandalism: 1300 block of Fred Jackson Way. Property was defaced at 10:26 a.m.
Robbery: 900 block of S. 43rd Street. A strong-arm robbery was reported at 11:38 a.m.
