Richmond police responded to numerous reports of crime between October 27 and November 2, logging dozens of vehicle thefts, multiple reports of gunfire, and several assaults and domestic violence cases across the city.

Monday, October 27

Firearm discharge and alcohol violation: In the 94801 zip code. Officers responded to the willful discharge of a firearm in a grossly negligent manner and possession of open alcohol in public at 1:17 a.m.

Drug paraphernalia: In the 94804 zip code. Officers arrested someone on drug equipment charges at 3:48 a.m.

Vandalism: In the 94804 zip code. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 9:51 a.m.

Grand theft: 400 block of 6th Street. A theft was reported at 10:52 a.m.

Domestic battery: 100 block of Buchanan Street. Officers arrested someone for simple assault after responding to a report of a battery involving a spouse, ex-spouse, or dating partner at 11 a.m.

Driving on a suspended license: In the 94805 zip code. A person was caught driving while their license was suspended or revoked at 11 a.m.

Deadly weapon display: In the 94801 zip code. Someone exhibited a deadly weapon other than a firearm at 11:27 a.m.

Trespassing: 800 block of Chevron Way. A person refused to leave a posted land at 12:10 p.m.

Robbery and battery: 700 block of Rock Rose Way. A strong-arm robbery and battery involving a spouse or dating partner was reported at 12:37 p.m.

Sex crime: 2nd Street. A sex crime was reported at 1:53 p.m.

Vehicle recovery: 5200 block of Fresno Avenue. A stolen vehicle was recovered at 3:01 p.m.

Commercial burglary: 4800 block of Bissell Avenue. A commercial property was forcibly entered at 4:30 p.m.

Drug violations and trespassing: 800 block of Chesley Avenue. Officers made arrests for drug violations after discovering unlawful paraphernalia, controlled substances, and a trespassing violation at 4:48 p.m.

Trespassing: 3200 block of Roosevelt Avenue. A person refused to leave a property at 6:16 p.m.

Aggravated assault: 600 block of 32nd Street. A battery with serious bodily injury was reported at 7:35 p.m.

Gone in 60 seconds: 600 block of S 16th Street. A vehicle was taken without the owner’s consent at 8 p.m.

Hot wheels: 2600 block of Chanslor Avenue. Another vehicle was taken without consent at 8:30 p.m.

Auto theft: 2600 block of Gaynor Avenue. A vehicle was stolen at 9 p.m.

Trespassing: 2500 block of Macdonald Avenue. Officers busted someone for trespassing at 9:21 p.m.

Auto theft: 300 block of S 23rd Street. A car was taken on an unauthorized test ride at 11:58 p.m.

Tuesday, October 28

Grand theft: 1800 block of Cutting Boulevard. Officers collared somebody for larceny at 1:30 a.m.

Petty theft: 100 block of 12th Street. A theft was reported at 6:50 a.m.

Auto theft: 500 block of 3rd Street. Somebody needed the car more than the owner at 7:27 a.m.

Parts theft: 900 block of W Cutting Boulevard. Officers made an arrest for theft of motor vehicle parts or accessories at 8:34 a.m.

Vandalism: 3200 block of Auto Plaza. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 8:36 a.m.

Domestic violence: 1200 block of Virginia Avenue. Someone reportedly inflicted corporal injury on a cohabitant with prior violations at 11:00 a.m.

Vandalism: 3700 block of Wall Avenue. Property was defaced at 4:45 p.m.

Auto theft: 5000 block of Hartnett Avenue. The car situation got complicated at 6:16 p.m.

Firearm discharge: 400 block of S 25th Street. Someone pulled out and started popping off at 7:54 p.m.

Mail theft: 3100 block of Birmingham Drive. Mail was stolen at 8:14 p.m.

Vandalism: 400 block of S 26th Street. Officers nabbed a vandal for destruction of property valued at $400 or more at 9:06 p.m.

Domestic battery: 3500 block of El Portal Drive, El Sobrante. A battery involving a spouse, ex-spouse, or dating partner was reported at 10:30 p.m.

Auto theft: 5800 block of Knobcone Court. A car disappeared at 11:20 p.m.

Criminal threats and arson: 1500 block of Carlson Boulevard. Officers made arrests for arson after someone threatened a crime with the intent to terrorize and allegedly set fire to property at 11:56 p.m.

Wednesday, October 29

Vandalism: Harbour Way. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 1:42 a.m.

Auto theft: 1700 block of Roosevelt Avenue. Car thieves spirited an automobile away at 4 a.m.

Auto theft: 3000 block of Glynis Drive. A car was gone by first light at 6:15 a.m.

Auto theft: 3900 block of Jenkins Way. Another vehicle vanished come morning at 6:55 a.m.

Resisting arrest: 2900 block of Florida Avenue. Someone obstructed or resisted a public officer or emergency medical technician at 11 a.m.

Battery: Intersection of 23rd Street and Rheem Avenue. A battery on a person was reported at 11:38 a.m.

Vandalism: 3900 block of Potrero Avenue. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at noon.

Carjacking: In the 94804 zip code. A carjacking with a firearm was reported at 3:37 p.m.

Petty theft: 4500 block of Macdonald Avenue. A theft was reported at 4:01 p.m.

Battery: 3100 block of Southampton Court. A battery on a person was reported at 4:09 p.m.

Auto theft: 5300 block of Conestoga Way. Someone spirited an automobile away at 4:30 p.m.

Marijuana violation: In the 94806 zip code. Someone was smoking or ingesting marijuana while driving at 12:03 a.m.

Thursday, October 30

Contempt of court and domestic battery: 800 block of Lassen Street. Someone allegedly disobeyed a court order and committed battery against a spouse, ex-spouse, or dating partner at 4:16 a.m.

Domestic battery: 100 block of 6th Street. A battery involving a spouse, ex-spouse, or dating partner was reported at 7:15 a.m.

Sexual battery and false imprisonment: 100 block of 6th Street. A sexual battery and false imprisonment with violence was reported at 7:28 a.m.

Battery: 2300 block of Esmond Avenue. Officers made arrests for simple assault at 8:30 a.m.

Vehicle embezzlement: 3000 block of Hilltop Mall Road. A leased or rented vehicle was embezzled at 1:18 p.m.

Auto theft: 300 block of S 37th Street. A vehicle was taken by persons unknown at 3:22 p.m.

Commercial burglary: 1900 block of Meeker Avenue. A commercial property was forcibly entered at 4:37 p.m.

Armed robbery and assault: 5500 block of McBryde Avenue. A robbery with a firearm and assault with a gun on a person was reported at 10:34 p.m.

Friday, October 31

Assault, DUI and battery on emergency personnel: 900 block of Nevin Avenue. Someone assaulted another with a deadly weapon, drove under the influence of alcohol, and battered emergency personnel at 3:17 a.m.

Vehicle recovery: 2600 block of Hilltop Drive. Someone’s car ended up in Hilltop somehow at 8:02 a.m.

Assault: 700 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. Officers made an arrest after an assault with a deadly weapon was reported at 9:38 a.m.

Vehicle recovery: In the 94801 zip code. A stolen vehicle was recovered at 10:46 a.m.

Grand theft and vandalism: 1000 block of Canal Boulevard. A theft and property damage valued at $400 or more were reported at noon.

Warrant arrest: 4900 block of Bayview Avenue. Officers picked up a wanted person on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant at noon.

Contempt of court: West Richmond Avenue. Someone was said to have disobeyed a court order at 1:12 p.m.

So anyways, I started blasting: In the 94801 zip code. Shots were fired at an inhabited dwelling, vehicle, or other structure at 1:22 p.m.

Reckless driving: In the 94801 zip code. Reckless driving on a highway was reported at 1:26 p.m.

DUI and hit-and-run: 3800 block of Solano Avenue. Someone drove under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol content of 0.08 percent or higher and fled the scene after causing property damage at 3:41 p.m.

Battery: 300 block of S 15th Street. A battery on a person was reported at 5:06 p.m.

Battery: 2900 block of Hilltop Mall Road. Officers made arrests for simple assault at 5:18 p.m.

Auto theft: 200 block of Marina Way South. A car was carried off by forces unseen at 7 p.m.

Auto theft: 500 block of 2nd Street. A vehicle disappeared like a whisper at 8:01 p.m.

Police evasion: In the 94804 zip code. A driver evaded police with disregard for safety at 8:45 p.m.

Domestic battery: 200 block of Nevin Avenue. Officers made an arrest for simple assault after responding to reports of battery involving a spouse, ex-spouse or dating partner at 9:08 p.m.

DUI: 4500 block of Macdonald Avenue. Officers made arrests for driving under the influence at 10:28 p.m.

Auto theft: 5500 block of Modoc Avenue. A car was gone, swallowed by the Annex night at 11 p.m.

Battery: 900 block of Nevin Avenue. A battery on a person was reported at 11:42 p.m.

Saturday, November 1

Vehicle recovery: 100 block of S 20th Street. A stolen vehicle was recovered at midnight.

Firearm discharge: 700 block of 18th Street. Someone shot at an unoccupied dwelling, vehicle, or other structure at 12:50 a.m.

Domestic battery: 700 block of S 13th Street. Officers made an arrest for simple assault after responding to a battery involving a spouse, ex-spouse, or dating partner at 1:05 a.m.

Firearm discharge: 400 block of S 16th Street. It got all Wild West for a minute at 2:13 a.m.

Vandalism: 700 block of McLaughlin Street. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 2:36 a.m.

Multiple weapon violations: In the 94804 zip code. Officers made arrests for weapon law violations after discovering a concealed weapon in a vehicle, a concealed weapon on a person, a loaded firearm in public, a minor illegally possessing a concealed weapon, a loaded handgun not registered to the carrier, and a large capacity magazine at 3:58 a.m.

Residential burglary: 900 block of 9th Street. A home was forcibly entered at 4:31 a.m.

Custody violation: 1700 block of Regatta Boulevard. Someone was said to have deprived another of custody or visitation rights at 7 a.m.

Battery: 700 block of 17th Street. A battery on a person was reported at 8:29 a.m.

Auto theft: 2400 block of Gaynor Avenue. A vehicle was taken without the owner’s consent at 10:11 a.m.

Custody violation: 2300 block of San Joaquin Street. It was reported that someone deprived another of custody or visitation rights at 4:30 p.m.

Domestic battery: 2000 block of Hoffman Boulevard. A battery involving a spouse, ex-spouse, or dating partner was reported at 9:28 p.m.

Noise violation: 600 block of Phanor Drive. A community noise complaint was reported at 10:50 p.m.

Sunday, November 2

Commercial burglary: 3200 block of Pierce Street. A commercial property was forcibly entered at midnight.

Auto theft: 4400 block of Wall Avenue. A vehicle was taken by thieves in the night at 12:56 a.m.

Assault: 600 block of Sanford Avenue. An assault with a deadly weapon was reported at 1:26 a.m.

Carjacking and domestic violence: 300 block of Nevin Avenue. Officers made an arrest after responding to reports of a strong-arm carjacking, vehicle theft, assault with force causing possible great bodily injury, and infliction of corporal injury at 1:43 a.m.

Auto theft: 2700 block of East Court. A vehicle was taken without consent from a street we’ve never heard of at 1:51 a.m.

Aggravated assault: 1300 block of Gaynor Avenue. Officers made an arrest for aggravated assault at 4:26 a.m.

Auto theft: 2900 block of Wiswall Drive. Thieves reportedly took another car in the night at 6:21 a.m.

Residential burglary: 700 block of S 41st Street. A home was entered without force at 6:23 a.m.

Auto theft: 700 block of 15th Street. Come sunrise, only tire tracks remained at 7:43 a.m.

Attempted extortion: 2100 block of Virginia Avenue. An attempted extortion was reported at 9 a.m.

Petty theft: 3500 block of El Portal Drive. A theft from a building was reported at 11 a.m.

Alcohol violation: Unspecified location in the 94804 zip code. An alcohol-related quality of life violation was reported at 12:36 p.m.

Criminal threats and firearm display: 2300 block of Macdonald Avenue. Someone threatened a crime with the intent to terrorize and exhibited a firearm at 4:17 p.m.

Domestic battery: 400 block of Metro Walk Way. A battery involving a spouse, ex-spouse, or dating partner was reported at 6:05 p.m.

Firearm display and battery: 3800 block of Fleming Avenue. Someone exhibited a firearm and committed battery on a person at 9:01 p.m.

Drug paraphernalia: In the 94801 zip code. Unlawful paraphernalia was discovered at 9:47 p.m.
