Richmond Police are actively investigating a shooting near South 23rd Street and Ohio Avenue Monday morning, and are asking residents to avoid the area.
Visible at the scene is a dark-colored Honda Civic that was stopped in the roadway with its door open. Yellow police tape cordoned off the area, and evidence markers were placed in the street as officers restricted access to the area.
City Councilmember Doria Robinson, whose District 3 includes the area of the incident, shared an early report.
“So far, I am told that no one was killed or injured, but this is still alarming,” Robinson said.
