Richmond police investigate acarjacking report on Wilson Avenue on March 29. 

Saturday, April 1

Assault with a deadly weapon: 3400 block of Mcdonald Avenue. An armed man wearing a ski mask and all-black clothing reportedly assaulted a man and stole a wallet near Domino’s Pizza at 10:11 p.m.

Jumped: 28th Street and Macdonald Avenue. A passerby told police she came across a man bleeding from his face. The man said he had been jumped at 5:29 p.m.

Robbery alarm: 900 block of 23rd Street. Police responded to a hold-up alarm at a smoke shop at 11:16 a.m

Friday, March 31

Bottle service: 11900 block of San Pablo Avenue. A man walked into Home Depot asking for an ambulance after saying he was hit with a bottle in the head at 8:44 p.m.

Robbery: 100 block of 24th Street. A short man with curly hair armed with a six-inch knife wearing a black hoodie took a victim’s wallet at 8:30 p.m.

Trespassing: 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. Police made an arrest after they were called to the Bella Vista apartments on reports of someone refusing to leave at 4:23 p.m.

Thursday, March 30

Arson: 12000 block of San Pablo Avenue. Police arrested a man in an orange safety vest at the Grocery Outlet at 10:06 a.m. A store employee reported the man had previously tried to set the store on fire the previous week and picked up a paraphernalia charge.

Warrant arrest: 1100 block of Macdonald Avenue. Police were called to a local business on a report of petty theft. Officers made an arrest for shoplifting and an outstanding warrant at 8:28 a.m.

Car theft: 900 block of 37th Street. Police took a report of a vehicle theft at 11:43 a.m.

Evading police: 400 block of McGlothen Way. A man reportedly violated his parole during a carjacking and a failed attempt to evade police at 4:32 p.m.

Assault: 5200 block of Nevin Avenue. Police arrested a man after a woman told police her brother hit her with a laundry basket at 5:47 p.m.

Residential burglary: 700 block of Ventura Street. Police collected evidence at a home burglary at 9:26 p.m.

Wednesday, March 29

A Contra Costa County Sheriff's deputy uses a mobile fingerprint scanner on the 900 block of Wilson Avenue. 

Carjacking: 600 block of Alamo Avenue. Police located a 2006 Ford F150 reportedly stolen in a carjacking and detained three individuals on the 900 block of Wilson Avenue. The truck’s owner told police a 35-year-old man assaulted him and tried to hit him while fleeing in the purloined truck at 9:38 a.m.

Car theft: 600 block of Alamo Avenue. A man spotted people stealing their Honda CRV and gave chase at 5:34 p.m.

Assault with a deadly weapon: 400 block of Civic Center Plaza. A woman told police she maced a 50-year-old man after he tried to steal her phone at 5:03 p.m. After getting maced, the would-be phone thief reportedly kicked the woman.

Tuesday, March 28

Kidnapping: 700 block of South 26th Street. A man reported someone told him his 27-year-old girlfriend was forced into a white sedan at 7:08 a.m.

Armed robbery: 200 block of Marina Way South. Police took a report of a robbery at 10:45 a.m.

Stalking: 2200 block of Nevin Avenue. Police dealt with a restraining order violation, a stalking report, and a vandalism call at 3:03 p.m.

Monday, March 27

Potato fight: West Macdonald Avenue. A man told police a woman in a silver Malibu who was driving erratically followed him to Joe’s Market, where she threw potatoes at him and stabbed his car with a knife at 11:44 a.m. Officers would gather evidence, including a video of the potato fight, and arrest on criminal threats and assault with deadly weapon charges.

Man with a gun: 600 block of South 52nd Street. A caller told police she could see a group of transients cleaning a rifle on the hillside next to the freeway at 11:30 a.m.
