The historic Hotel Mac, located in beautiful Point Richmond, was a legendary venue for jazz and other live music in its heyday. After a long closure during the pandemic, the Mac reopened with a fantastic new Italian restaurant. Biancoverde hosts Festival Opera at the Mac - a monthly musical residency curated by Festival Opera’s General Director, Zachary Gordin. The series will feel like fun and casual operatic "jam sessions" for the restaurant and bar patrons, bringing favorite opera artists from the Bay Area and beyond to the Mac, performing hits from opera, Broadway, and more. A great way to meet opera, or for die-hard fans to enjoy their favorite arias and duets while sipping and dining!

Since 1911, Hotel Mac has stood as one of Point Richmond’s most iconic buildings. Constructed by Kate Riordan—one of the area’s first female entrepreneurs—this beautifully restored red brick hotel is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Its timeless architecture and rich history create a unique ambiance that welcomes guests with charm and warmth. At the heart of this historic landmark is the celebrated restaurant, renowned for bringing authentic Italian flavors to life. From classic pastas to fresh seafood and expertly paired wines, each dish honors tradition while embracing culinary artistry. Dining at Hotel Mac is not just a meal—it’s an experience steeped in history and flavor.

Gloria @The Magick Lantern Theater

Saturday, December 13 @ 7:30 p.m.

Gloria! (2024)

At its heart, Gloria! is an ode to the unheard melodies of history. Vicario constructs her narrative around interwoven themes of women’s empowerment, clashes between tradition and innovation, and the lost legacies of women composers and musicians. These themes harmonize through the relationships of the film’s characters and their rebellious pursuit of creative freedom. Anyone with a soft spot for overcoming adversity through creativity will be singing this film’s praises.

Both mainstream viewers and arthouse crowds find Gloria!’s high notes will lift their spirits.

Frog Face @Sailing Goat

December 6, 2025, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Frog Face is a five-piece bluegrass band based in San Rafael, California. Their music draws from unusual traditionals and bluegrass standards, jam favorites, fiddle tunes, and originals. They rotate between three lead singers and a mix of two- and three-part harmony stacks to keep the dynamics moving. They favor upbeat tempos, with a handful of slower ballads, and high-octane instrumentals. They strive for instrumental texture, tasteful fills, and melodic leads. The lineup includes Joe on lead guitar and vocals, Nate on mandolin and vocals, Greg on bass, Aaron on dobro, and Kat on rhythm guitar and vocals. Together they channel the spirit of a Saturday night jam—joyful, spontaneous, and rooted in tradition—while bringing a modern, melodic twist to every performance. Frog Face’s aim is simple: to serve up a fun, flavorful set that keeps audiences smiling and the energy flowing.
