Officers responded to incidents across the city’s neighborhoods, including multiple break-ins at businesses, domestic violence cases, vehicle recoveries, and sideshow activity. Here’s a day-by-day look at the wide range of calls Richmond police handled between August 18 and 24.

Grand theft and vandalism: 5200 block of Solano Avenue. A creative criminal went on a triple-threat spree combining grand theft, property vandalism, and some amateur electrical work on power connecting lines at 1:09 a.m.
Drug and weapons violations: South 29th Street and Chavez Lane. Officers struck gold at 3:06 a.m. with a mobile pharmacy operation featuring enough charges to fill a legal textbook - drug possession, trafficking, concealed weapons (both in vehicle and on person), loaded firearms, felon with guns, prohibited ammo, large capacity magazines, and resisting arrest.
Vandalism: 800 block of 8th Street. A vandal’s work was discovered at 6 a.m.
Vandalism: 3300 block of Macdonald Avenue. Another was found at 7:36 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 100 block of West Chanslor Avenue. Someone decided a test drive should be permanent at 9 a.m.
Vehicle recovery: Undisclosed location in the 94801 zip code. At least one stolen ride found its way home at 9:13 a.m.
Petty theft: 12800 block of San Pablo Avenue. A parts pilferer targeted vehicle accessories at 9:15 a.m.
Quality of life violation: Undisclosed location in the 94805 zip code. Public drinking made for an eventful morning at 10:04 a.m.
Grand theft: 1000 block of 23rd Street. More unauthorized acquisitions occurred at 10 a.m.
Petty theft: 700 block of Mesa Way. A thief reportedly took items at 1:24 p.m.
Grand theft: 500 block of Chanslor Avenue. A firearm went missing in this theft at 1:37 p.m.
Identity fraud: 600 block of Berk Avenue. Someone tried playing dress-up with another person’s identity at 3:59 p.m.
Vandalism: 800 block of Carlson Boulevard. More expensive vandalism adorned the neighborhood at 4 p.m.
Grand theft: 2300 block of Macdonald Avenue. The afternoon brought another report of a major theft at 4:37 p.m.
Vandalism: 2500 block of Roosevelt Avenue. More vandalism was reported at 4:50 p.m.
Battery: 700 block of 23rd Street. Hands-on conflict resolution failed at 5:30 p.m.
Criminal threats: 200 block of South 8th Street. A bad actor threatened to commit a crime with the intent to terrorize at 5:40 p.m.
Petty theft: 800 block of 23rd Street. Another petty theft was reported at 7 p.m.
Domestic violence and weapons: 400 block of B Street. Some sort of incident involving a display of a deadly weapon, domestic violence, and resisting officers was reported at 7:36 p.m.
Vehicle theft: Undisclosed location in the 94801. A late-night vehicle borrowing without permission happened at 9 p.m.
Vehicle theft: 300 block of South 22nd Street. Someone’s Sunday ended with unauthorized auto acquisition at 11 p.m.
Domestic violence: 3400 block of Wall Avenue. A domestic dispute reportedly led to aggravated assault charges at 11:41 p.m.

Auto burglary and vandalism: 2300 block of Humphrey Avenue. An auto burglary and vandalism were reported at 7:18 a.m.
Battery: 3800 block of Lakeside Drive. A morning conflict erupted at 9:24 a.m.
Auto burglary: 4100 block of Klose Way. This popular address attracted its first uninvited visitor at 11:25 a.m.
Drug violations: In the 94804 zip code. A chemical romance gone wrong featured substance possession and driving violations at noon.
Assault with a deadly weapon: In the 94804 zip code. A troublemaker brought violence to the afternoon at 12:11 p.m.
Fraud: 4300 block of Macdonald Avenue. Someone was the recipient of credit card shenanigans at 2:25 p.m.
Vehicle theft: In the 94801 zip code. Unauthorized car borrowing continued at 3:24 p.m.
Drug violations: Undisclosed Richmond location. Paraphernalia possession and driving without a license made for an eventful afternoon at 3:54 p.m.
Auto burglary: 4100 block of Klose Way. This address proved irresistible to burglars again at 4:15 p.m.
Vandalism: 12100 block of San Pablo Avenue. More expensive vandalism appeared at 6:34 p.m.
Vandalism: 12000 block of San Pablo Avenue. The San Pablo corridor got hit again at 7 p.m.
Petty theft: 200 block of South 8th Street. Vehicle contents went missing at 7:47 p.m.
Vandalism: 4800 block of Macdonald Avenue. Even more vandalism was reported at 7:47 p.m.
Assault and battery: 700 block of South 41st Street. Deadly weapon assault combined with domestic battery led to a trip to the pokey at 10 p.m.
Warrant arrest: 500 block of South 47th Street. Someone’s past caught up with them at 10:38 p.m.

Vandalism: 3600 block of Sierra Ridge Avenue. Twin morning property damage appeared at 7:09 a.m. and 7:14 a.m.
Identity fraud: 4800 block of Wall Avenue. Someone practiced the art of being someone else at 9:06 a.m.
Petty theft: 1300 block of Macdonald Avenue. Morning shopping without checkout occurred at 9:53 a.m.

Drug and weapons violations: In the 94801 zip code. A rolling drug operation was busted at 11:26 a.m., with officers finding a convicted felon armed with a firearm, multiple controlled substances packaged for sale, prohibited ammunition, and evidence of drug trafficking.
Drug possession: 400 block of Macdonald Avenue. A modest controlled substance case occurred at 1:27 p.m.
Shoplifting: 2100 block of Meeker Avenue. Retail therapy without payment happened at 5:50 p.m.
Vandalism: 500 block of 9th Street. Budget-friendly defacement under $400 appeared at 6:51 p.m.
Petty theft: 11900 block of San Pablo Avenue. Police busted someone suspected of shopping without paying at 7:15 p.m.

Drug violation: In the 94801 zip code. Marijuana sales entrepreneurship was discovered at 8:31 a.m.
Grand theft: 100 block of Harbour Way. Thieves reportedly stole something expensive from a car at 8:57 a.m.
Day drinking: 2300 block of Macdonald Avenue. Public drinking made for an eventful morning at 10:02 a.m.

Multiple violations: 500 block of 9th Street. Someone achieved the criminal grand slam with residential burglary, first-degree robbery, stalking, and vandalism at 6:24 a.m.
Grand theft: 1300 block of Marina Way South. More stuff was reportedly taken without permission at 5 p.m.
Vehicle theft: 4200 block of Fran Way. A car got GTA’d at 5 p.m.
Petty theft: 5200 block of Creely Avenue. Vehicle contents went missing at 7:07 p.m.
Battery: 3800 block of Lakeside Drive. Physical conflict led to cuffs at 8:10 p.m.
Vandalism: Undisclosed Richmond location. It was reported that someone had maliciously defaced property at 8:57 p.m.

Commercial burglary: 10800 block of San Pablo Avenue. A forceful business break-in occurred at 2:55 a.m.
Commercial burglary: 10200 block of San Pablo Avenue. Another forced business entry happened nearby at 3:36 a.m.
Been caught stealing: 400 block of South 19th Street. Police made an arrest after a petty theft from a vehicle was reported at 8:53 a.m.
Battery: 1700 block of Cutting Boulevard. A mid-morning conflict erupted at 10:40 a.m.
Vehicle theft: 2700 block of Carlson Boulevard. Another car was nicked at 1:38 p.m.
Vehicle recovery: 200 block of 21st Street. Some good news - a stolen vehicle was recovered at 2:25 p.m.
Vandalism and threats: 1700 block of Gaynor Avenue. Property damage came with bonus criminal threats at 2:29 p.m.
Domestic violence: 500 block of 16th Street. An incident involving corporal injury and aggravated assault was reported at 5:58 p.m.
Vandalism: 300 block of Maine Avenue. More unlawful damage appeared at 6 p.m.
Battery: 800 block of Alamo Avenue. Another physical altercation was reported at 8:48 p.m.

Petty theft: 3600 block of Klose Way. More reports of petty theft occurred at 9:01 a.m.
Vandalism: 600 block of Humboldt Street. Another expensive act of vandalism worth over $400 brightened the morning at 9:39 a.m.
Vehicle recovery: 400 block of South 38th Street. A stolen vehicle found its way home at 11:18 a.m.
Grand theft: 200 block of West Nevin Avenue. Another theft was reported at noon.
Multiple violations: 300 block of South 25th Street. A criminal multitasker combined auto burglary, trespassing on property, deadly weapon exhibition, and controlled substance possession all in one afternoon adventure at 12:10 p.m.
Kidnapping: In the 94801 zip code. Police received reports of a kidnapping at 1:49 p.m.
Probation and theft violations: 600 block of Stege Avenue. Someone’s past legal troubles caught up with them while they were busy with vehicle theft and grand theft at 2:15 p.m. and 2:28 p.m.
Traffic violation: In the 94804 zip code. Driving with a suspended license for DUI made for an eventful afternoon at 3:02 p.m.
Vehicle theft: 3200 block of Klose Way. Another car pulled up and left at 4:25 p.m.
Vandalism: 400 block of 46th Street. More destruction of property was reported at 7:09 p.m.
Strong-arm robbery: 1000 block of Factory Street. Physical force was used in this evening robbery at 8:49 p.m.
Vehicle recovery: In the 94804. Another stolen vehicle was recovered at 9 p.m.
Arson: 2800 block of Florida Avenue. A mental health situation escalated to include arson of an inhabited structure at 9:45 p.m.
Weapons and threats: 600 block of Bradford Drive. The day ended with a deadly weapon exhibition and criminal threats at 10:31 p.m.
