# What happened in Richmond:  multiple arrests, robberies, and stolen vehicles reported

Richmond police responded to a week of crimes between January 12 and 18, including multiple armed robberies, domestic violence arrests, and a steady stream of vehicle thefts across the city, according to department logs. Officers arrested suspects in several violent incidents, documented numerous burglaries, and recovered multiple stolen vehicles.

## Monday, January 12

**Domestic violence:** 900 block of Barrett Avenue. Police arrested someone on aggravated assault charges. The suspect allegedly inflicted corporal injury on a spouse, cohabitant, or dating partner at 1:32 a.m.

**Protective order violation, resisting arrest, and drug paraphernalia:** 800 block of Lassen Street and 900 block of McLaughlin Street. Officers arrested someone for all other offenses. Someone allegedly violated a court order to prevent domestic violence, obstructed a peace officer, and possessed unlawful paraphernalia and was arrested at 4:15 a.m.

**Wheels of misfortune:** 3000 block of Jo Ann Drive. Someone took a vehicle without the owner's consent at 5:04 a.m.

**Vandalism:** 1600 block of Lincoln Avenue. A vandal defaced property at 5:30 a.m.

**Domestic violence:** 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. It was reported that someone inflicted corporal injury on a spouse, cohabitant, or dating partner at 7 a.m.

**Elder abuse:** 4100 block of Overend Avenue.Elder abuse was reported at 8:40 a.m.

**Battery:** 200 block of Harbour Way South. Battery on a person occurred at 1:27 p.m.

**Fraud:** 600 block of 3rd Street. Someone allegedly benefited from a false financial statement at 1:30 p.m.

**Robbery:** 300 block of 11th Street. Officers responded to reports of a strong-arm robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime and made an arrest at 2:39 p.m.

**Hit-and-run:** 2000 block of Barrett Avenue. Police arrested a man after they allegedly drove under the influence, fled a hit-and-run involving property damage, and obstructed a peace officer at 3:17 p.m.

**Robbery:** 1500 block of Carlson Boulevard. A strong-arm robbery reportedly occurred at 3:55 p.m.

**Child abuse:** 1400 block of Hilltop Mall Road. Someone reportedly inflicted injury upon a child at 4:40 p.m.

**Shoplifting and false ID:** 2900 block of Hilltop Mall Road. Police arrested someone for shoplifting. The person allegedly gave false identification to officers at 5:08 p.m.

**Brandishing a weapon:** 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. An individual reportedly brandished a deadly weapon at 7:09 p.m.

**Auto burglary and battery:** 5300 block of Silva Avenue. Officers responded to reports of a vehicle break-in and a battery on a person at 8:10 p.m. Silva is a short street that runs parallel to Barrett in the hills between Mount Street and Zara.

**Battery:** 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. Police arrested someone for simple assault after a physical altercation was reported at 8:35 p.m.

**Drug paraphernalia:** In the 94801 zip code. Police arrested someone for drug equipment violations after discovering unlawful paraphernalia at 9:50 p.m.

**Kidnapping, false imprisonment, domestic battery, and vandalism:** 800 block of 9th Street. Police arrested someone on kidnapping charges. Charges include felony false imprisonment, domestic battery, and damaging a communication device to prevent a report to police at 10 p.m.

**Shoplifting and grand theft:** 2300 block of Macdonald Avenue. Police arrested an alleged shoplifter who was said to have committed petty theft with prior jail time, shoplifting, and grand theft at 10:19 p.m.

**Protective order violation:** 2600 block of Hinkley Avenue. Officers arrested someone after they allegedly violated a court order to prevent domestic violence at 10:30 p.m.

## Tuesday, January 13

**Drug possession and paraphernalia:** In the 94804 zip code. Police arrested someone for drug/narcotic violations. Officers allegedly discovered a controlled substance and unlawful paraphernalia at 2:10 a.m.

**Driveway depletion: 2100 block of Visalia Avenue.** Someone took a vehicle without the owner's consent at 4 a.m.

**Car-napped: Richmond.** Another vehicle was taken without consent at 7:29 a.m.

**Pickpocketing and drug paraphernalia:** 100 block of Jetty Drive. A suspected pickpocket was reportedly arrested for grand theft and discovered with unlawful paraphernalia at 9:16 a.m.

**Vandalism:** 1700 block of Costa Avenue. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 10:52 a.m.

**Identity theft: 1500 block of Mariposa Street.** A person was said to have used another person's ID to obtain credit at 11:59 a.m.

**Elder theft:** 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. A suspect allegedly stole over $400 from an elder or dependent adult at 12:48 p.m.

**Contempt of court:** 1700 block of Regatta Boulevard. A person allegedly disobeyed a court order at 1:30 p.m.

**Petty theft:** 200 block of Harbour Way South. Theft of motor vehicle parts or accessories was reported at 5:07 p.m.

**Assault:** 100 block of 17th Street. Police arrested an alleged assailant for aggravated assault at 6:44 p.m.

**Sudden change of ownership:** 2700 block of Roosevelt Avenue. Another vehicle was taken without consent at 7 p.m.

**Assault with a deadly weapon:** 900 block of 9th Street.Police made an arrest for aggravated assault after an assault with a deadly weapon was reported at 7:03 p.m.

**Auto burglary:** 3200 block of Pierce Street. A vehicle was broken into at 8:30 p.m.

**Vandalism: Richmond.** Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 9 p.m.

**Criminal threats and harassing calls:** 600 block of 2nd Street. Annoying calls and threats were made at 9:40 p.m. and 9:48 p.m.

## Wednesday, January 14

**Robbery, domestic violence, and false imprisonment: 5200 block of Panama Avenue.** Police made an arrest on aggravated assault charges. The suspect allegedly committed a strong-arm robbery, inflicted corporal injury on a spouse or dating partner, and falsely imprisoned someone with violence at 12:48 a.m.

**DUI:** Bayview Avenue and Carlson Boulevard. A suspected drunk driver was busted at 2:14 a.m.

**Protective order violation:** 200 block of South 16th Street. A court order to prevent domestic violence was reportedly violated, and an arrest was made at 4:11 a.m.

**The old switcheroo on wheels:** 2800 block of Downer Avenue. A vehicle was taken without consent at 6:11 a.m.

**Battery:** 2500 block of Macdonald Avenue. One person was said to have struck another at 7:15 a.m.

**Gone in 60 seconds:** 2600 block of Barrett Avenue. A vehicle was stolen at 7:37 a.m.

**Involuntary vehicle donation:** In the 94801\. Another vehicle was taken without consent at 8:26 a.m.

**Domestic violence and child cruelty:** 700 block of 23rd Street. Someone allegedly inflicted corporal injury on a spouse or dating partner and committed willful cruelty to a child at 9:17 a.m.

**Petty theft: 900 block of Nevin Avenue.** A theft was reported at 10:53 a.m.

**Resisting arrest, child abuse, and domestic battery:** 3400 block of Waller Avenue. Police made an arrest for simple assault. The suspect was also accused of obstructing a peace officer, assaulting a child, and committing battery on a spouse or dating partner at 1:53 p.m.

**Grand theft: 3400 block of Cutting Boulevard.** A theft occurred at 3:51 p.m.

**Drug possession and paraphernalia:** 600 block of 21st Street and 2000 block of Roosevelt Avenue. Officers reportedly discovered controlled substances and unlawful paraphernalia and took someone to the pokey at 3:56 p.m.

**DUI, hit and run, and child cruelty:** In the 94801\. Police arrested someone for aggravated assault. The person allegedly drove under the influence, fled a hit and run, and committed willful cruelty to a child, causing possible injury at 5:49 p.m.

**Hot wheels:** 800 block of 30th Street. A vehicle was taken without consent at 6 p.m.

**Robbery:** 1500 block of Coalinga Avenue. A robbery with a dangerous weapon was reported at 6:02 p.m.

**Hit-and-run, police evasion, and resisting arrest:** In the 94804\. Police arrested a driver who allegedly fled a hit-and-run resulting in injury, evaded police with disregard for safety, and obstructed a peace officer at 7:42 p.m. 

**Robbery and drug possession:** 4500 block of Macdonald Avenue. While arresting a shoplifter for robbery, officers reportedly found drugs at 8:10 p.m.

**Domestic violence, protective order violation, and child cruelty:** West Bissell Avenue and Circle Court. Someone allegedly violated a court order to prevent domestic violence, inflicted corporal injury on a spouse, and committed willful cruelty to a child at 10:26 p.m.

**Firearm discharge:** South 33rd Street. A gun was discharged in a grossly negligent manner at 10:47 p.m.

**Sexual assault**: In the 94801\. A rape by force or fear was reported at 11:13 p.m.

## Thursday, January 15

**Fast and the felonious:** 2900 block of Tulare Avenue. A vehicle was taken without consent at 12:30 a.m.

**Criminal threats:** 5200 block of Imperial Avenue. Threats of crimes were made with the intent to terrorize at 2:44 a.m.

**Car redistribution and petty theft:** 2700 block of Moyers Road. A vehicle was taken without consent, and a theft reported at 4:26 a.m.

**Residential burglary:** 900 block of 15th Street. Officers responded to a home that was forcibly entered at 8:22 a.m.

**Armed robbery:** 1300 block of Macdonald Avenue. A caller reported a robbery with a firearm at 8:29 a.m.

**Grand theft:** 800 block of South 49th Street. A theft was reported at 9:58 a.m.

**Battery and criminal threats:** 200 block of Macdonald Avenue. A suspect struck another person and issued terroristic threats at 10:13 a.m.

**Battery:** 5000 block of Valley View Road. Another physical altercation was reported at 10:15 a.m.

**Vandalism:** 100 block of Harbour Way. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 12:28 p.m.

**Fraud:** 300 block of South 35th Street. A fraudulent report was made with the intent to defraud at 2:06 p.m.

**False report of a crime:** 2100 block of Macdonald Avenue. Officers arrested a person suspected of making a false report of a crime at 3:45 p.m.

**False imprisonment:** 5000 block of Valley View Road. Police received reports of felony false imprisonment involving the use of force or violence at 4:50 p.m.

**Robbery:** 12600 block of San Pablo Avenue. A robbery was reported at 5:14 p.m.

**Petty theft:** 1300 block of Bissell Avenue. Theft of motor vehicle parts or accessories was reported at 6 p.m.

**Drug possession:** 100 block of Harbour Way. Police busted someone for drug/narcotic violations after allegedly discovering a controlled substance at 7:44 p.m.

**Firearm discharge:** 1400 block of Kelsey Street. A firearm was discharged in a grossly negligent manner at 8:33 p.m.

## Friday, January 16

**DUI:** In the 94804\. Police arrested someone for driving under the influence at 1:36 a.m.

**Borrowed without asking:** 1500 block of Lincoln Avenue. A vehicle was taken without consent at 2:30 a.m.

**Parking space surprise:** 2nd Street. Another vehicle was stolen at 7:20 a.m.

**Grand theft from vehicle:** 3400 block of Richmond Parkway. Theft from a motor vehicle was reported at 7:41 a.m.

**Battery:** 5000 block of Valley View Road. A battery on a person at a school was reported at 10 a.m.

**Petty theft:** 100 block of South 41st Street. A theft was reported at 12:57 p.m.

**Brandishing a weapon and child cruelty: 100 block of 19th Street.** Someone allegedly exhibited a deadly weapon and was willfully cruel to a child at 4:04 p.m.

**Petty theft:** 3200 block of Auto Plaza. Theft from a motor vehicle occurred at 4:34 p.m.

**Brandishing a weapon:** In the 94801\. Someone was said to have exhibited a deadly weapon at 5:47 p.m.

**The vanishing sedan:** 2100 block of Coalinga Avenue. A vehicle was taken without consent at 7 p.m.

**Auto burglary:** 3200 block of Pierce Street. A vehicle was broken into at 7:08 p.m.

**Mystery road trip:** 4100 block of Klose Way. A vehicle was stolen at 7:30 p.m.

**Vandalism:** 5500 block of Deer Run Drive**.** Property damage less than $400 was reported at 7:52 p.m.

**Petty theft: 2600 block of Hilltop Drive.** Theft from a motor vehicle occurred at 10 p.m.

## Saturday, January 17

**Vehicle violations:** In the 94804\. Officers arrested someone after they allegedly aided and abetted in an exhibition of speed and allowed an unlicensed driver to operate a vehicle at 12:02 a.m.

**DUI:** In the 94804\. Police arrested a driver suspected of being under the influence at 3:49 a.m.

**DUI:** In the 94804\. Officers arrested another person for driving under the influence at 5:25 a.m.

**Driving without a license:** 3100 block of Klose Way. An unlicensed driver was busted at 9:14 a.m.

**Vandalism:** 100 block of South 42nd Street. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 9:49 a.m.

**Battery:** 3400 block of Fleetwood Drive**.** A physical altercation was reported at 10:30 a.m.

**Vandalism:** 3200 block of Southampton Court. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 10:49 a.m.

**Impromptu test drive:** 5700 block of Bayview Avenue. A vehicle was taken without consent at 10:59 a.m.

**Domestic battery and petty theft:** 200 block of Marina Way South. Someone allegedly committed battery on a spouse or dating partner, and a theft occurred at 12:30 p.m.

**Drug possession:** 5000 block of Hartnett Avenue. Police busted a person with marijuana for sale at 3:58 p.m.

**Vandalism:** West Nevin Avenue. Property damage valued at $400 or more was reported at 4:06 p.m.

**Domestic violence and child cruelty: 3100 block of Southampton Court.** Someone reportedly inflicted corporal injury on a spouse with priors and committed willful cruelty to a child at 6:17 p.m.

**Curb-side commandeering:** 1600 block of Chanslor Avenue. A vehicle was taken without consent at 10:56 p.m.

## Sunday, January 18

**Battery with serious injury:** In the 94801\. A battery with serious bodily injury reportedly occurred at 1 a.m.

**Mobile misappropriation:** 300 block of South 8th Street. A vehicle was taken without the owner's consent at 1 a.m.

**Carjacking, robbery, and battery:** In the 94801\. A strong-arm carjacking, strong-arm robbery, and battery were reported at 1:58 a.m.

**DUI:** In the 94801\. Police arrested a motorist for driving under the influence at 2:30 a.m.

**Assault with a deadly weapon:** 1200 block of Macdonald Avenue. An assault with a deadly weapon was reported at 5:22 a.m.

**Grand theft:** 300 block of Ohio Avenue. A theft occurred at 6 a.m.

**Battery and criminal threats:** 200 block of South 44th Street. An individual allegedly battered another person and threatened a crime with the intent to terrorize at 7:32 a.m.

**Vehicular vaporization:** 800 block of Lucas Avenue. A vehicle was stolen at 8:38 a.m.

**Four-wheeled flight:** 900 block of Triangle Court. A vehicle was taken without consent at 11:28 a.m.

**Auto abduction:** 900 block of Triangle Court. Another vehicle was stolen at 11:41 a.m.

**Resisting arrest and vandalism:** 500 block of Harbour Way. A suspect allegedly obstructed an executive officer and damaged property valued at $400 or more at 12:07 p.m.

**Robbery and contempt of court:** 3500 block of Bissell Avenue. A person allegedly committed a strong-arm robbery and disobeyed a court order at 12:51 p.m.

**Petty theft:** 200 block of 18th Street. A theft was reported at 2:10 p.m.

**Auto burglary:** 3200 block of Pierce Street. A vehicle was broken into at 8:05 p.m.
