The police log provides a brief record of arrests, reported crimes, and other public safety activity across the city. ### Sunday, April 20 Vandalism: 900 block of Humboldt Street. Vandalism was reported with damage estimated to be less than $400 at 3:24 a.m. **Weapon/False Personation Charges:** Southern District: Police arrested two men early Sunday after a proactive patrol in the southern district led to the discovery of two loaded firearms in a vehicle. Around 2 a.m. Photo/RPD An hour later, a K9 officer stopped the same vehicle for expired registration and a search revealed two loaded firearms, one with an illegal conversion device for fully automatic fire. The driver gave a false name and had an outstanding warrant, while the passenger had three out-of-state warrants and was known to carry firearms. Both were booked on multiple firearm charges, including possession of a machine gun. **Aggravated Assault:** 200 block of 17th Street. Someone was arrested on aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges at 6 a.m. **Battery:** 1900 block of Florida Avenue. A battery on a person was reported at 12:20 p.m. **Residential Burglary:** 1300 block of Santa Clara Street. A residential burglary involving force was reported at 7:50 p.m. **Criminal Threats**: 2300 block of Brooks Avenue. Criminal threats were reported at 9:30 p.m. **DUI:** Starr Avenue and MacDonald Avenue. An individual under 21 was arrested for driving under the influence with a blood alcohol content over 0.01% at 10:15 p.m. **Battery:** 200 block of MacDonald Avenue. Battery on a person was reported at 10:39 p.m. ### Monday, April 21 **Battery:** 5000 block of Valley View Road. Battery on a person was reported at noon. **Fraud:** 2500 block of Chanslor Avenue. Fraud involving the conveyance or transfer of personal identification information intending to defraud was reported at 1 p.m. **Weapon Charge:** Richmond. An individual was arrested for being a prohibited person owning or possessing ammunition with no specific address listed at 2:35 p.m. **Battery:** 1000 block of Market Avenue. Battery on a person was reported at 3:20 p.m. **Criminal Threats:** 200 block of Harbour Way South. Criminal threats were reported at 5:17 p.m. **Carjacking/Conspiracy/Obstructing:** 5400 block of Central Avenue and 2800 block of San Luis Street. Officers responded to a report of three suspects who tried to carjack a victim near Pierce Street and Central Avenue. Photo/ RPD “Officers responded and located three suspects that matched the description provided by the victim. The suspects fled, with one escaping into a residence,” police said on social media. “Officers could see people inside the house who refused to come out. Due to a firearm being used, the RPD SWAT team responded. Once a search warrant was secured, RPD SWAT cleared the residence. One person was arrested, and two were detained.” ### Tuesday, April 22 **Exhibiting Firearm:** 600 block of Florida Avenue. Exhibition of a firearm was reported at 12:39 a.m. **Residential Burglary:** 300 block of West MacDonald Avenue. A residential burglary involving force was reported at 4:00 a.m. **Fraud:** 3600 block of Chanslor Avenue. Fraud involving the conveyance or transfer of personal identification information with the intent to defraud was reported at 2:29 p.m. **Vandalism:** 3500 block of Center Avenue. Vandalism with damage less than $400 was reported at 3:13 p.m. **Arson:** 12000 block of San Pablo Avenue. An arson incident was reported at 6:57 p.m. **Aggravated Assault:** 900 block of Nevin Avenue. Aggravated assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury was reported at 8:38 p.m. **Assault with Firearm:** 15th Street. Assault with a firearm on a person was reported at 9:10 p.m. **Grand Theft/Stolen Property:** 5700 block of Sacramento Avenue. Grand theft and receiving known stolen property were reported at 11:39 p.m. **Vandalism:** 100 block of South 11th Street. Vandalism causing property damage was reported at 11:49 p.m. ### Wednesday, April 23 **Residential Burglary:** 2500 block of San Mateo Street. A residential burglary with no force was reported at 12:36 a.m. **Weapon Charge:** Undisclosed location. An individual was arrested for the unlawful use of tear gas or a tear gas weapon, with no specific address listed, at 10:09 a.m. **Grand Theft:** 1000 block of 23rd Street. Grand theft was reported at 10:22 a.m. **Aggravated Assault/Robbery/Battery:** 900 block of Cutting Boulevard and 300 block of South 9th Street. Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and robbery (Estes) were reported at 1:31 p.m. **Marijuana Cultivation:** 2000 block of Roosevelt Avenue. Someone was reportedly cultivating more than six marijuana plants at 10:50 p.m. ### Thursday, April 24 **Aggravated Assault:** 200 block of 17th Street. Aggravated assault with a non-firearm deadly weapon was reported at 6:36 a.m. **Aggravated Assault/False Imprisonment/DUI:** 1500 block of Merced Avenue. Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and false imprisonment with violence were reported, and an individual was arrested for DUI alcohol in connection with this incident at 7:00 a.m. **Commercial Burglary:** 1100 block of Hensley Street. A commercial burglary involving force was reported at 1:03 p.m. **DUI:** 3200 block of Roosevelt Avenue. An individual was arrested for DUI involving drugs at 11:16 p.m. ### Friday, April 25 **DUI:** 1000 block of Chesley Avenue. An individual was arrested for DUI alcohol at 1:04 a.m. **Burglary/Possession of Burglary Tools:** 800 block of 23rd Street. An individual was arrested for possession of burglary tools and commercial burglary with no force at 5:20 a.m. **Firestarter:** Richmond. Arson of property was reported in the 94804 zip code with no specific address listed at 8:36 a.m. **Disturbing the Peace:** 3000 block of Hilltop Mall Road. Use of offensive words within a school was reported at 10:03 a.m. **Fraud:** 1200 block of MacDonald Avenue. Obtaining money or property by false pretenses over $400 was reported at 11:46 a.m. **Aggravated Assault/Vandalism:** 900 block of Cutting Boulevard. Aggravated assault with a non-firearm deadly weapon and felony vandalism ($400 or more) were reported at 8:13 p.m. **Possession of Burglary Tools:** Richmond. An individual was arrested for possession of burglary tools with no specific address listed at 9:41 p.m. ### Saturday, April 26 **Negligent Discharge of Firearm:** 2800 block of Center Avenue. Willful discharge of a firearm in a grossly negligent manner was reported at 12:06 a.m. **Fraud:** 5200 block of San Jose Avenue. Obtaining money or property by false pretenses over $400 was reported at 11:01 a.m. **DUI:** 2500 block of MacDonald Avenue. An individual was arrested for DUI alcohol and DUI with a blood alcohol content of 0.08% or higher at 8:47 p.m. ### April 27, 2025 **DUI Arrest:** An individual was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol at an unspecified location at 2:15 a.m. **Aggravated Assault:** 600 block of Payne Drive. Police responded to a series of incidents, including assault with a deadly weapon involving possible great bodily injury, at 8 a.m. **Felony Vandalism:** 4700 block of Hartnett Avenue. Vandalism causing $400 or more in damage was reported at 1:25 p.m. **Commercial Burglary:** 3400 block of Collins Avenue. A forced entry commercial burglary was reported at 1:53 p.m. **Felony Battery:** An incident of felony battery against an emergency person was reported at an unspecified location. **Felony Vandalism, Obstruction:** 13th Street. Felony vandalism causing over $400 in damage and obstruction of a peace officer were reported at 6:00 p.m. **DUI:** 3900 block of Esmond Avenue.
